I'm getting a new laptop in the next few weeks, as well, and have started doing my research. I spoke with Justin yesterday at Staples, he was helpful. Spoke with my mom the other day, she recommended against a Toshiba. She had one and said it didn't have a long life. She now has a Dell and loves it. I'm considering a HP for my next. I now have an acer. I didn't buy it. Hubby just came home with it one day and it has been our computer ever since. We have already had to replace the processor, but we have had it for several years. We got it a month before Vista came out. Acer was suppo

My point is, was it NEEDED? That money could have been used in so many other ways. They could have had 18 wheelers with food taken to stock the local food pantries. That would have been something 'useful'. What good is that fountain doing? Even if this was a certain 'department' that had the funds to do the fountain it was just wasteful spending.

middle school lockers..will they get em tomorrow?
blessed mess replied to myrlin's topic in RECENT TOPICS
At our middle school, they get their lockers the following week and the cost has been $2. That is the way it has been for two years, and there have been plenty of lockers to go around. They even had empty ones last year due to the decreasing numbers of enrollment. -
Yeah. Like fountains the county can't keep it's citizens out of, so it has to be turned off to clean. How much is the cleaning costs? I bet they didn't even take that into consideration before approving such a ridiculous project.

Got it too. Just backed up the computer. Logged on to Pcom....BOOM! blocked attack.

Maybe he has some creepy teacher that gave extra credit to obtain personal information on the residents in the neighborhoods he would be visiting. Just a thought. What gets me is how could telling people you are trying to sell to the personal information you obtained. It apparently creeps people out and sends potential buyers a red flag. I know if someone came to my door w/ my personal information my (as everyone elses' in these neighborhoods) is to get out of this man's armlength.
-
Legit or not, how does he have this info. on kids? That is all I want answered. That is what is so creepy about it. A book salesman doesn't bother me. AJC and others come around saling from time to time, but they don't know personal information about me or my neighbors.
-
Going to pack my 'heat' right now. Someone shows up knowing that kind of information about my kiddo, I believe there might be a problem.

It has been a couple of months since she came to my house, but she did knock on the door and let me know she was around. She said she was going to walk around and look around the back. I informed her there was a dog in the back yard. Enter at her own risk, but don't let my dog out. She said she wouldn't enter the fence.

I didn't even look at the circled picture. I expanded the pic. and saw 2 or 3.

I have several Halloween costumes to sell. I only want like $4 for each. I know I paid at least $20 for each. Different sizes.
-
We take our own snacks. It is the only way we can go for under $25 (matinee prices).

We did the City Pass during Spring Break. It is not that much more than a one day pass to the GA Aquarium and you get to go to 5 other places around ATL. Zoo, World of Coke, High Musuem, Fernbank, & CNN Center.

I'm not giving you a 'bad' parent award. I can think of a lot worse things. We do main/pedi days at home. We break out the foot bath, do the scrubs, moisturizers, play with hair and do funny styles, paint each others' nails. We have about 50 different colors and we create different looks. For 4th of July I striped every other nail in red/white and the others I painted blue and dotted the blue with white. It looked like stars and stripes. My 11 year old likes to do rainbow, where each nail is a different color. I buy the little BonBon colors at Wally World. They dry in about a min

Not my middle schoolers. I will have 2 this year. I would be curious as to how much credit card debt these people are in. We pay cash, so we won't be paying for a day like that a year or two later. What gets me, is these parents are going to have to keep topping theirselves at each step in their lives. Could you imagine their 13/16 b-days and then graduation.

Haven't seen a topic on this, but this time next week there will be NO MORE KIDS in my house!!!!!! I know I say that then Friday will get here and I will be all lonely and pacing for them to get out of school so I have someone to talk to. My kids are GREAT, so it isn't like they really drive me crazy. They argue with one another, but not like you see sometimes. I'm very blessed.

I apparently don't get out too much. Didn't even know there was a carnival.

GOT MY MAYBERRY!!! I'm having quite a week. My kids and doggy and I were on the Tuesday Puppy Love, we won tonight's Bingo, and I got a Mayberry!!
-
The Breakfast Club as well. Think about where they go in the halls and what they go to get, and then proceed back to the library and 'blaze-up' on school property. Not to mention the language in this movie either.
-
I want to show my kids Back To The Future, but in on of the biggest scenes in the movie he yells "SH--!!!!!!" There is alot of language in that movie too.
-
What an idiot. That is no explanation. That is just laziness. Do they not sell over the counter contraceptives in France? You don't have to see a dr. to purchase birth control.
-
I didn't get a mayberry. Do I get on even if I win?

$65 to Tender Loving Grooming.

This is so sad. I was just reading up on this story last night.
