Has anyone read the latest study that people that are on the skinny side actually live longer due to a survival gene that is stimulated by being skinny? Very true Being fat would put you on the other side of that gene stimulus I gather. They have noted smoking does have some second hand health affects on other folks. I think is exaggerated a bit though. But I have lived in a two parent smoking house for many years and then smoked for 25years on my own with the Mrs. smoking. I have no know medical issues with smoking. So I can say that I am healthier becasue of living in these enviorments? NO I have no cough or other wise or get more or worse colds. I don't have a problem with FAT people which I think your are by your nasty statement. I think you have the problem with your weight. I see a problem and look for a solution, you just don't like the solution, just as with the constant attacks on smokers. Fat people are just a burden on the medical system as smokers are. Some smokers are more of a burden, just as some fat people are more of a burden. I wonder what the numbers are concerning fat people and smokers that use the medical system for weight related care? We can tax you if you want... I can take your money and give it to the county... Hey I was not the one that keeps putting more taxes and restricktions like the new one on smokers in the Marietta park. I wrote a entry to a smokers thread and figured why not have a fat tax? We have more overweight people in this county then any other in the world. Fat people have more medical problems then skinny people. (bad knees, bad heart, diabetes etc.) I figure why not tax them into losing weight? Fat people cost us a lot more money then smokers (guessing), But they do cost more then a skinny person. This would be a healthy incentive to get them to lose weight. They are taxing smokers and drinkers, why not fat people? Come on let me hear your thoughts on this.

I want a fat tax to help off set the taxes that new non-smokers do not put in the county coffers. For every 10lbs you are over weight you need to cough up an extra $25 a month for the extra medical care to the state. For every 1 lb after that it will cost you and extra $2 a month. If you lose weight you get to keep some of the money. I think this should be put into law.... It would give those over weight an incentive and fat people have more health issues then skinny folks do. I wonder how much money the state has lost since all the previous smokers quit in the extra taxes on smokers? How about the extra money spent on other items that employee people too? I know as a non smoker now I rarely go inside a gas station to buy stuff. I wonder how much an effect my quitting on the local businesses I have made? I know some will say I still spend that same money on other items. Yes, but at a reduced tax rate and I buy more online and spend it on vacations in other states. Obama is trying to spend our way out of a deep depression and keep us in a depression. It is working a bit. But not as planned. The next problem will be if the spending continues we will be in a major depression if things don't bounce back. (part of getting us our of Iraq = saves us money) and maybe Iraq will kick some of the oil money our way later. His spending is very bad now. But the alternative is worse. i.e the lesser of two evils. Hoping that more people get back to work and help pay off the new debt levels before it gets to the point we can not afford it.

Sub prime was a major factor, but to continue and give out the loans is down right stupid, but they all saw the money and still gave the loans out. They (the banks) were a major part of the problem. The spending by Bush was a problem also. You can't blame the new man for all the screw ups while another president is driving. Blame the man who was driving at the time for the problem.

You need to do some homework.... Republicans have created this whole mess.... Got to love you Repubs blaming those that have to clean up their mess. Who has and is the current Governor? Sunny.... A republican.... Who spent like crazy for 8 years? Bush.... Obama has been in 6 months and has spent a lot to try to stimulate the economy..
