I hope one day this too will be something Vets will no longer do..maybe the dollar will not be as important as the health of the cat. Of course I hope to one day see Vets also stop chopping other things off as well and in everyway putting the animals first before the owners and what makes it easier on them.

k kids in my family have flown at that age with no problems. We alwyas took them to the gate and made sure they were on the right plane( direct flights ONLY) and meet them at the gate. If this is done by the PARENT I do not see how the child could get on the wrong plane.

I think I would have taken all his cloths and every night laid out what I wanted him to wear the next day and informed him THAT WAS IT. He either wears what I tell him to or he stays in his room ALL day with no toys, TV or anything.

Do you and your brother have people to go home to every night? Do you want your mother to sit around ever day and night waiting on you or your brother to have the time to come and spend a little time with her? Is that all you think she deserves? Sounds like she did not tell you about him because she knew the both of you well enough to know how you would act. Try putting her and her feelings first and be thankful she has someone in her life to make her remaining days happy and not lonely.
