Agreed. Also take a minute to pray for Brian Bloye and the rest of the folks at West Ridge. This is at least the 4th or 5th funeral in the past few weeks.

Pushing this to the top as a reminder for all the people who came here today to read about the sulfuric acid spill. -

And when you click on a topic or reply button, just be patient and let the server do it's thing. Don't click again. What comes to mind is someone standing waiting on an elevator pushing and pushing the button because they are impatient and they think that somehow it will make the elevator come faster. Only with the internet it not only doesn't make it come faster, it actually makes it come slower. -

No. We were told by our pastor Sunday morning that he had a heart-attack while playing soccer Saturday morning. He and his wife own the UPS store in New Hope. Prayers go out to his family. -
I also assume this is not the former US Congressman and 'Cooter' from Dukes of Hazard. Apparently both Ben and Steve Jones are common names. Our thoughts are also with the Jones family at this sad time.

Paulding resident Tara Drummond dies in training
markdavd replied to a topic in May they rest in Peace
Anytime an officer is killed while on duty, no matter what that duty is at the time, it is in the "Line of Duty." To say otherwise dilutes the sacrafice of an officer who is killed in an auto (or other type) of accident. Just because an officer's death did not involve a criminal does not make it any less valiant. -

Wouldn't help me now. Wouldn't have helped when I worked in Atlanta.

LR - That one was about the schools. Auntie, I like that plan, except it only really helps office workers. If someone works manufacturing or in a customer/corporate support job, it wouldn't work. (And unfortunatly, many of those companies are not willing to give some people 'special' hours.) Still, to get a small percentage off the roads would be a good thing. I could work at home one or two days a week, but the higher-ups don't seem to want to set a precident.

I believe Pubby is working on that. Some of the 'most recent' buttons work, some don't. It seems like the ones at the bottom of the page are still broken, but the ones at the top seem OK.

From casual observation, it looks like anything posted after about 3:31 yesterday afternoon has gone into the great bit-bucket into the sky. I'm sure Pubby or Ellery will correct me if I'm wrong.

Test.... Am I right in assuming that we lost everything from after 3:31 yesterday afternoon?

That's a beautiful but sad story. Thank you for sharing. 73 years is quite an accomplishment. You and yours will be in our prayers.

Pubby, I see you have added the ability to click in different areas to get to the second story. The problem is it's not clear that that is the case. Also - You have to stay on that page, or the story stops. Is there anything that can be done about that? It would be nice to continue listening while reading other things. -

That might work. Maybe a button or something to 'skip to next story' (but include commercial.) If the story is interrupted, it's annoying to have to start at the beginning again. Especially if you really want to here the second one.
