A favorite food or menu item no longer available?

Last time I was at the Ridge Road Publix, they had them. I and my son love those gyro kits. As for long-lost food items I miss; Chef Boyardee Roller Coasters. -
It's not just one freakin' penny. Do you really believe that it will cost you just one penny?

Lol... well, I have under my desk right now a soon-to-be-retired XP Professional (an old home-built Asus with an Athlon XP processor). I also have an old (way old) Toshiba laptop from 1995, but it hasn't been powered up in years. I also have a 1985-vintage Tandy 1000SX (with 20MB hard card!) and an original Mac Classic. Add to that two TI-99/4A's (with a fully-loaded peripheral expansion system!) plus one Timex/Sinclair ZX-81, and I might have you out-computed. But... as for computers that are actively being used... you have me there.

About one out of every five calls I made on AT&T would drop out, even with 5 bars of signal and standing still. I paid the early termination fee to leave them and go to Verizon and never looked back (well, except to laugh at the poor suckers who stayed behind lol). I've had service with all of the major national carriers over the last 10 years; T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. Sprint and Verizon are by far the most reliable of the four; at least in my experience. I paid the fee, sold my Blackberry on eBay for a profit (sold it for more than I bought it new for), bought a

I have Windows Vista on one laptop, Windows 7 on another laptop, Windows 7 on my wife's workstation, Windows 7 on my development workstation, and XP Professional on my two sons' workstations. Vista has been a great OS on the one laptop and I plan on continuing to use it until the laptop is retired. There's been nothing wrong with Vista on every computer I've used with it. Vista got a very bad and undeserved reputation from folks who just didn't understand it. The two XP workstations will eventually be upgraded... it's just a matter of money at the moment. Upgrading right now would make

Name that Videogame!

@Thoughts: Way back when I was working with a distributor in Tennessee, the fellow that owned the place had a warehouse slap FULL of old arcade games... everything you could imagine. I'd fix the ones that could be fixed (everything from simple cleaning to board-level repair) and he'd send them to auction. The ones that came back... well, they were dismantled. The usable cabinets were usually converted to something new, but the older or damaged cabinets were busted apart and burned. For years (until it finally got broken), I kept a blacklight from an old upright Tron that we were ordered to -

I played it a few times when it was in the arcade, but not very many as it was one of the first two token games and I was happier playing other single-token games. I was an arcade junky, from the late 70's through the 80's. I remember with great fondness the sounds and sights of the local arcade in my small hometown mall. I started playing them back when Pong was new and many of the arcade games were electro-mechanical. In between high school and my software development career I am in now, I had three different jobs repairing, maintaining, and building arcade games, pinball machines, an -

Sooooo Frustrated with my cell phone service

I had AT&T for one year... they sucked... I paid the early termination fee to get away from them. Dropped calls no matter where I was, whether I was moving or still, with a full 5 bars of signal. Data rates were abysmal. All-around a horrible experience. I've been on T-Mobile for 4 years, Sprint for 2, AT&T for 1, and now on Verizon for 5 months. Out of all of them, Verizon and Sprint were the most reliable... pretty much equal. -
If it's in front of Wal Mart, it's probably not Paulding County's finest ride. Oh, wait... you meant... oh, nevermind.

Oh, ok. So, everyone in the nation gets a piece of the cost... not just us Paulding countians. That's much better. I'm in support of the airport. I just had to point out how people thing money from the feds is somehow "free". Sure, other people are paying for our airport. Just remember... we're paying for their's, too. It balances out. Not so warm-and-fuzzy now, is it?

It's important to realize that non-digital copiers don't do this. Most home consumer-grade printer/scanner/copier models also do not do this, as they are built to be as cheap as possible to remain competitive.

The stoplight probably isn't for the benefit of Bakers Bridge Road travellers. It is most likely for the Senator Road/Oberlochen Way (Carrington Lakes) travellers. It is nearly impossible to left turn or go straight across from either of those roads. The south-bound Bakers Bridge travellers fly around the curve approaching the intersection, greatly decreasing the amount of time you can react to them. The north-bound Bakers Bridge travellers are usually speeding after coming down the hill and crossing the bridge. That intersection is pretty dangerous, so the stoplight will be a welcome

Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery
VoicesInMyHead replied to willavery's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I know it wasn't a "list of priorities", but it was a stream of consciousness response. Little things like that can often show what people are really thinking. I do hope that it was purely random, though. -

I will be totally honest in saying that I know nothing about you, Mr. Avery... this thread is my very first introduction to you. But, I would like to get to know you. It concerns me that cutting spending was the third point you made, behind revenue. Like the rest of us citizens, we cut spending first and can't just go ask for more money from our providers anytime we find we're running in the red. Can you explain why cutting spending was the third item in your reply? -
Are doing your taxes really a pain? Millions of people couldn't agree more! Just listen to these people just like you! "Just did our income taxes. It took all afternoon and evening! I hate doing taxes!!!!!!!" "You should try doing them for a living!" "It usually takes at least 8-10 hours for ours... Blech!" What they need is something easy! What they need is something new! What they need is FairTax Just one... yes, ONE... and your tax woes are gone! "Wow! I can't believe how easy that was!", says Milford Flubgaster of Lincoln, AL. "How did they get so much Fair in the

Full formatting is not sufficient if you will be donating the computer. It is quite easy to read data off of a fully formatted disk using forensic data recovery tools. You wi stll want to use a drive "cleaning" tool that performs a DoD (Department of Defense) standard wipe. That will sufficiently erase any residual magnetic traces, but it takes hours to complete.

The battery cover problem's been fixed. Newer Droids have a slightly thicker pad on the inside which gives it just enough snug to stay on well. The Droid (or most any Android phone, for that matter) are great devices. Almost supernatural in the things they can do.

We still drive our Toyota, and wouldn't even consider driving an American-made car again. I would not doubt if this entire overblown story was a result of Government Motors. Think about it.

Do you think they wait until a tanker shows up with cheaper gas to lower the price? They don't. Same goes for things like gold. Gold doesn't keep the value you paid for it while you hold it... it's value fluctuates as you hold it. Pretty much everything of volatile value does this.
