Not leaving either, even though I now have a dash cam LOL!

The Burnt Hickory bubble is holding strong! Not a flake to be seen! (insert sad emoticon)

The initial reports showed little or no snow for Bartow and Rome. The radar shows a big band coming into the area.

I know it just started but so many come here to be informed. Many went to work and the report of places to avoid can be helpful.

My son is going to try to make his first class this morning. It is over by 10:45 so he may be ok. I reminded him about down shifting to first and second gear to allow the engine compression to slow him down instead of using the brakes. I ask him to practice while driving out of the subdivision so he could see how his car will perform in the gears he has never used. If you get out and get caught on slick roads remember to do this. If you have never done this you might want to practice it just in case. Stay safe!

This is how I like my snow. Come in turn every thing white and pretty than leave the next day. We are excited for Bear to see his first snow. He lays on the porch relaxing when it is 17 degrees with a twenty mile an hour wind. He was bred to herd sheep and goats in the mountains. He suffers in the summer. He goes out to take care of business then comes back in to lay on a vent.

I thought we could have some fun.Who will be the first to see a snow flake?Who will get the most snow. And who will starve to death because they did not stock up on milk and bread for milk sammichesPlease don't share how you dealt with no toilet paper that would be TMI!

It seems as though the consensus is I should not be worried as a north Paulding resident. I am worried, I am very worried that most every available piece of land on Dabbs bridge has been zoned commercial because the real estate signs are up and most are new. I am supposed to support the folks wanting to stop the airport that will bring in above average wages. Are they going to support the north Paulding residents that don't want that type of commercialization on top of us. I don't want it, I don't care if Paulding never gets a Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Let them put them out at the air

We are getting it filled today. I think it is 1/2 of what she is supposed to take. Let me check that for sure. If we need them I still have your number and I can swing by Thursday.

Sorry you lost your rooster, congrats on the car. My daughter has a Dodge Charger she just loves.

We are home today. It felt so good to sleep all night in my own bed. No beepig and people coming in all times of the night. I think she will heal much faster getting a full night of sleep. I am the bad guy today, made her use the walker to do a little laundry and make her lunch. Moved her wheel chair away so she had to use the walker. She doesn't believe how high risk she is for a blood clot because she is so young. We will be giving her the shots for a couple of weeks in the stomach. She has been bed ridden for over 2 weeks, I am beyond concerned about a blood clot. I told her when her

I don't know where anyone got the idea that Paulding would be a tourist destination. Close by lodging and restaurants is very likely. I did a google map overlaying the park. It looks like that southern tip of the park is around 2 miles from Dabbs bridge. We will be housing the minimum wage earners working at these businesses if we are not very careful. There is a good chance that Brett Smith is quite the opportunist and is already been talking to the developers of this venue. The Third Army Rd will float plenty of folks right over to Dabbs bridge for hotels and restaurants. Why can'

I live on north 61 and Take Dabbs bridge to 41 all the time. It takes me 15 minutes to reach 41. The south end of that park is about a mile north of the Black acre and 41 light.
-
You obviously have not looked at the map. Here is a link to google and their website. We are talking less than 5 miles not 40 to north Paulding. First check out the little Island of land between 75 and 41 where is to be built. Then look at the map on their web page. A on the map is Dabbs bridge rd. The little Island of land where the 75 interstate sign is the top of the park. View Larger Map Here is the map from the parks web page. http://www.lakepointsports.com/the-venue

You should go look at a map of Disney in Florida and check out the development around it. My point is this, the people in North Paulding need to make a decision fairly quickly about whether we want this or not. The zoning is already taking place and commercial realtors already have their signs in place along the road. I know where I stand, I don't want the land used for businesses that pay minimum wage and I don't want another housing boom. 41 is already full of signs advertising housing developments pointing towards Ceder crest. The airport is the least of my worries. As I said I have been

You are right. People will stay and eat at any place within 10 miles of the venue. Developers know this. Folks forget about a little thing called marketing and the internet. Lake point charters flying in and out of our airport. Build websites and goodle will bring them. I am sure Delta would not like a charter service taking away the business to visit this facility. The theme is pretty constant, nothing good ever happens in Paulding and if it looks like something good might happen we will stop it. I would much rather see us get industry, manufacturing and business parks. We have plenty

Thank you,our prayers and thoughts have power.

Really? Do you have any idea how much undeveloped land is up here on the north side? 61 is a state highway. Georgia has a little thing called a tourist tax. They want to put up hotels and restaurants here that can collect that tax. Developers will start putting up restaurants and hotels and the state will gladly 4 lane 61 so fast it will make your head spin. This is your issue, you think small so you can't imagine what will happen. I have played tourist all over the east coast. I know what happens very quickly.' My issue is this, cheap affordable housing for all the minimum wage workers

They took all of the Iv pain meds. We are praying the pain will be tolerable and we are on the long road to recovery. This is just the beginning, her life has been forever changed by this. I pray every day that it will be changed for the better. We all experience pain in life, some physical, some emotional and for many just like her, both. Many feel that tragedies are a punishment, it is not so. The act of living and being comes with these consequences. Our spirit is what is truly important. It can be strengthened and find joy again if only we allow it. If you are praying for her please pr

The bottom line is women controlling the decisions about their reproductive abilities. The women in your family that think their way is best should not be able to force that on other women or couples. Sex and pregnancy profoundly effect women in a way a man can't understand because he is a man. It has a life changing physical effect on a women whether it be the side effects of birth control or an actual pregnancy. I totally respect a man that has the procedure to save his wife from an unwanted pregnancy or the negative side effects of birth control. Ultimately it is a women's responsibilit

You have no idea how high the demand will be to entertain these families. They will pay. You keep saying Emersion. The tip of this park is in Emerson. It is huge! People from all over the world will come to this park. They won't look for Stars and strikes or Putt Putt. They will want lodging and food. Don't count on distance being a factor with road improvements. There is not much talk about the the impact for a reason. Brett Smith is no dummy. He has relationships with international companies and that is why we are not finding a lot on the internet. Malls are a dying breed, it is not eve

First of all we still have some very powerful and rich developers here, as you know money talks. Secondly mt commissioners know exactly how I feel about this and that ridiculous money pit they want to build at the courthouse. They read p.com and so do their friends. Make no mistake that a lot of people would love to see the housing market fire back up here. You think this airport is going to cause your taxes to go up? We are already needing more schools as the existing homes are filling and folks continue to reproduce. We need industry period! Instead the entire north end of this county is

You are absolutely right. This solution is still better than politicians and religious fanatics using the issue for their own agendas. The pill is the most preferred type of birth control, that is why all the hoops that earn doctors and pharmaceutical companies a paycheck. Just like the medicine for yeast women need it and they step in to profit off the need. We need to demand that we get treated right rather than let others decide how we should be treated. I want every women that is not ready to raise and cherish a child have the shortest and easiest path to birth control no matter her
-
I don't see the sense in letting these goons polarize us for our votes and ultimately get a paycheck. Most women can remember when you had to go to a doctor, submit to an exam to get a prescription for a yeast infection. I don't know a women that does not know exactly what it is when she has it. The issue is that it was so painful you would pay anything for relief. Sell birth control pills on the shelves of Walmart for 10.00 and cut the crap already. We don't need idiot men coming up with idiot solutions for this problem. We need to think for ourselves, come up with reasonable solutions
