I really did not want it to be. That is the long explanation. I really did want to explore the pros and cons of Patriarchal and matriarchal leadership.

You know what the worse thing about the recession was for me? When friends could no longer afford to go to lunch or dinner. When they could no longer share in a lot of activities that required money. Little weekends at the beach, shopping trips. It was like all the fun went out of life, people had trouble even having fun that didn't cost anything. Even people that could afford those things refrained out of fear that spending now would somehow hurt them in the near future. The segment that is angry in reality did lose the most.

I actually looked at it as a global issue. Globally, not just here, it tends to be the women and children that suffer the worst of the consequences of bad judgment in patriarchal societies. We are not exempt from that observation. I think that a segment of our society believed that they were entitled to a lot of things through education and hard work. Maybe we need to look at why they are losing the power struggle. Maybe we shouldn't look at life like a game. It seems to me the most powerful eventually takes the most valuable from the most people and that is their lives. You are all for

"Military age men" at San Diego's southern border
LPPT replied to Jamie Weaver's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This issue was solvable through common sense a long time ago. We don't have these issues with Canadians, you have to wonder why. For one thing Canadians citizens are documented by their own country. Documentation that is equally shared by both countries. Long ago we should have had an open door policy with Mexico based on documented citizens. We entice them to be documented with whatever it takes, and yes even cash because it is cheaper than the crazy sheeze we do now. We can create all kinds of laws to deport them as many times as needed and we can find them. Either through work, register- 10 replies

Poll: Whites and Republicans Rank as Angriest Americans Nearly half of Americans are angry, and no groups are angrier than whites and Republicans, according to a new NBC News/Survey Monkey/Esquire online poll about outrage in the country. Overall, 49 percent of Americans said they find themselves feeling angrier now about current events than they were one year ago. Whites are the angriest, with 54 percent saying they have grown more outraged over the past year. That's more than Latinos (43 percent) and African-Americans (33 percent). Seventy-three percent of whites said they get angry

I have been reading a lot of different so called facts about this case. I understand a lot of things about how our so called government works. I also hold dear land and the right to bare arms. I don't approve the use of arms in any type of government protest. I respect any and all people that work the land and feed the people of this nation. I have my suspicions about what is going on here. I suspect if these were corporations paying lobbyist enough money these problems would not exist. I suspect that corporations would be treated with more respect period. Government officials with power

Well then, Black lives matter should arm everyone for their protest. If a few nut jobs decide to fire their weapons and a lot of people die, oh well it's everyone's right to carry a gun everywhere and start shooting it for whatever reason they feel is right. Maybe they simply intend to shoot the nut jobs that hijack their little protest. But wait wouldn't the police have to get involved? Maybe have to shoot those shooting the nut jobs. Exactly why do they have to arm themselves to protest and occupy that building. Could it be they are daring law enforcement to move them? I would like to see a

The building they are holding is a public building and they are holding it at gun point. I don't care what your cause is or your color. The guns take it to a complete nother level. Let me tell you if they were black or even brown for that matter people would demand law enforcement go in there and get them. It really takes a conscious effort to not be racist. I support every American's right to peacefully protest. I will not condone armed protest from anyone no matter what color or cause. Many of the protest you mentioned were hijacked by criminals taking advantage of the situation.

Actually the same thing can happen to them. If there is one thing I have seen many times it is this..... I have seen it with causes and political campaigns. When people are protesting they will take any supporters they can get, this goes also for politicians. They welcome the loudest and most passionate, they will actually recruit them with extra attention and compliments. Many of the protest started with good people with good intentions. They can never bring themselves to turn away the ones that are getting out of control. The next thing you know the crazies are hijacking the cause. I ha

Not sure if anyone will remember my post a few years back. I noticed that all the poplar trees surrounding my property had an issue where their leaves did not completely unfurl the entire growing season. I did a lot of research and found that trees can have a systemic problem, but no disease or condition that would cause an entire species to suffer with this. I was very concerned because this is how trees feed. I also have about 2 poplar trees for every one of other kinds. 90% of them are well over 30 feet tall. None of them are on my property. Yet they are within falling distance of m

The common denominator of strife in that region is religion and abusing the power that religion holds over the people and politics over there. You would think that Americans would take note of that. I am sure like many Americans they believe theirs is the true religion of God and favored by him. It is as apparent here as there that religion does not reduce violence or unlawful behavior. Even when government seeks to base it's laws on religion it makes no difference in the outcome. I see this conflict playing out in our presidential election. The 2 front runners in both parties worship the a

UPDATED ALL SIX ADULTS CHARGED IN VILLA RICA STANDOFF
LPPT replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Looking at those mugshots of young people I see heart broken parents, that their kids are involved in this type thing. Officer Henson said they have been called here before on drug related incidents. Hopefully this will scare them enough to change. It could have been worse, when drugs are involved law enforcement doesn't play around. -
He used his kids in a campaign commercial denigrating the President. The cartoonist felt that turn about was fair play. I have seen some of the most disgusting memes about the first lady. Anything goes now, such as outright lies like the blog and 1/2 truths that a;most completely change an issue to something it is not. The news story that proved the planned parenthood video was almost complete fiction didn't get much traction. I can promise you there are millions that still believe it is true and will go to their grave believing it. I guess folks believe the means justify end. I think the pe

There are people out there that have not listened to as much as an entire hour of the president speaking since his first year in office. Many that have not read or seen anything he does first hand, they get bits and pieces served to them through pundits. They have no issue with biased reporting when it comes to his actions. These people are perpetually scared and angry. The only reason they can find to justify his actions is he hates the country and seeks to destroy it. Who would destroy a country that held everyone they loved and cared about, where they intended to live out the rest of th

Folks, my point was that there are people out there so inexperienced with how the internet and social sites work that they subscribed to these. This is their truth and nothing will change it. They will next claim that Obama made HS. cover it up. There is no line or limit. Does anyone out there set their own line or limit. I don't think so. This blog should be a joke, but it is far from it. I see so much of this, remarks that are just mind boggling. Anything goes even political fantasy.

In Kenya Bus Terror Attack, Muslim "Kill us all or leave them alone" - Muslims shield Christians in Kenya bus attack "We commend the Muslims who stood by the Christians when the gang attacked," Nkaissery said, according to the Standard. "They showed the terrorists cannot separate us using religion. They cannot cause a religious war and I thank the passengers and locals."

Speechless that someone would subscribe to this and actually share it. This is what is wrong with politics and America. VIDEOS: MUSLIM TERROR ATTACK ON VEGAS STRIP: Muslim Woman Lakisha Holloway Yelling Allahu Akbar Intentionally Ran Over 40 People On Vegas Strip + One Killed + Scores Injured This is not the first time I have seen this. In fact there are hundreds of these blogs trying to radicalize the extreme right in America. The remarks are pretty typical also.

I became increasingly allergic to them. It was so bad the last one we had that hubby threatened to strip it and toss it out. Of course the kids were horrified. I basically took antihistamines around the clock that year. The kids were disappointed the first year with the fake and we all missed the smell. I did like the fact that you could put larger ornaments on the fake tree. We are now down to a smaller tree and almost every branch has an ornament and we have retired quite a few. I love the Balsam hill that Blonde mentioned, it is so soft. It may be my next one.

The reality is we can not police the entire world. I assume that was what the UN's job is. There are some that don't like the idea of the UN doing so, especially when it includes us. As everyone knows America is the greatest nation in the world. Of course all our elected leaders are the greatest in the world so no nations should ever fear our authority over the world. N.Korea may have a horrible leader and disgusting form of government but the message is clear you won't police us. You notice that the rhetoric is aimed at us. We also rule or police the world by the size of our weapons an

This came across as and attack. I'm wondering what happened to you that you have become so liberal? You used to be fairly conservative in your beliefs, and would even agree with many of us about pubby's leftist politics. Seems that you have been exposed to it so long that you drank the KoolAid. It's always easy to spot those who do, because they constantly reference the militant left's talking points, such as the Koch Brothers, karl Rove, and yes, Fox News. So yeah, you're busted. As far as the other you brought up. Our ideas of integrity differ by a long stretch. I would appreciate it in

Thats right terrorism is the only issue. I object to rhetoric based on 1/2 truths and insinuations about our President that aren't true. All we need to be told is the truth. We don't need opinions we can form those on our own.
