LOOK at the face of socialized medicine

The model does not need that to work, Competition has been built in to the system to keep the over all quality high. The hospitals will not be owned by the government. In reality the medical personal will own them. Because you have a choice and your money follows you they will compete for it. They will also compete for medicaid and medicare. It will be much cheaper for the GOV. to pay 500 a month premium than to be self pay and billed per procedure. Systems can better control their cost when they practice preventative medicine for their members. We will see ER return to emergency medicine -

All health care should be excellent care, this is America not China. Healthcare is provided by humans, the only way to do that is to allow substandard providers to practice. No thank you. They get paid the same salary whether they are treating a bum or the president. I don't want a penny of my tax money going to bad care or drugs ever. That statement was disgusting. -

The government has propped it up. We have the ability for all governments to be self pay for employees, yet they choose to purchase insurance. Health care systems will work if the government stays the hell out of it. You will write your (insurance premium check) just to help you understand, to the healthcare system of your choice. Be that Wellstar, Tanner, Floyd, or Kaiser the choices in our area. You can choose payroll deduction. refuse to pay and be taxed for it any way you want it. The truly indigent will still have their share paid by uncle Sam. The system will provide care just like now. -

It is not their excess profits, it is the business model that makes no sense. With all other insurance you pay it and hope just like the company you will never have to use it. In medicine you pay to use it, even if it is preventative care. It is a bad business model and without the government propping it up it was on it;s way to failure already. -

The insurance companies are fighting for their lives/ Go to the Kaiser foundation link I placed in the post earlier. I have been watching this carefully as we are providers. I have see where we fit and what changes we have to make. There were concessions to satisfy those that felt that you can't tell a business what they can charge and how profitable they are allowed to be. If insurance companies are smart at all they wiil start transitioning over to insuring tangibles. The reluctance and or lobby money used to not regulate the industry 10 years ago got us where we are today. There really -

I answered it multiple times, first we put healthcare at the front of line like civilized people do. There is plenty of money for healthcare. there is zero money for a company that does not practice medicine or healthcare. If the government had stayed out of it we were well on our way to bankrupting them by refusing to pay them for practically nothing. I want my doctor to have that money period. The ceo of the health insurance company can lose everything he owns instead of the sick and desperate. Along with businesses, their profit margins will go way up when we finally transition completely i -

If it works as it is designed the government will simply turn the money over to the healthcare systems. Administration fees will go way down. Most administration in medicine is dotting the i's and crossing the t's to get the money from the insurance companies. Healthcare systems will run healthcare under the current proposal. There is already some serious jockeying go on by systems in anticipation of the transition. -

Your welcome to do the research to get the actual numbers that health insurance is sucking away from healthcare. You also have many people that money to pay for medicine. Call a doctors office and tell them you are very sick and you have 25 to pay them today, and ask if they will let you make payments. They will tell you that they don't do that you need to go to the emergency room. Call a pharmacy and try the same. Call an insurance company and tell them that you can make a 200,00 a month premium, they will hang up on you. Nobody will touch that money. You and I have to pay for it. The mo -

With all due respect to those that feel they are independently able to pay for their personal healthcare, you are wrong unless you are a millionaire. If you are wealthy this does not apply to you. There are many things that can happen in life and when it comes to a health crisis you may find out how very wrong you are. You are not promised a spouse, parent, child or sibling beyond this moment. There are literally 1000's of debilitating diseases people come down with every day. I don't think anyone reading this has not seen this. Who is going to pay your premiums, copays, bills when you are th -

That is not true, you are welcome to go to the transfer plant Waste industries built in Douglasville and watch it being sorted. The head quarters is in Virginia, They employee many in Paulding county and Douglasville. They have a very large property in Paulding, they pay taxes on. I am fine with people supporting other companies, I my self am a fanatic about shopping Paulding. Just because they are big does not make them bad.

I would actually like to start a program were we purchase their fertility. Society will help you with one child, everyone is entitled to a mistake. After having one child out of wedlock we inform you of that. We offer to pay you a certain amount to be sterilized. We don't force you or coerce you in any way. Even after the second child that we will not assist you financially after the birth, the offer still stands. Families fall on hard times they have multiple children, yes we will help as long as their are 2 parents in the home married. The federal government has no issues making folks j -

This is what you are missing, in reality nobody begrudges you your benefits, they are nice but not everyone can work for the government. Most people work for private companies, the benefit packages and pay they receive are based on the profitability of the company, and also on the abilities and decisions made at the executive levels of the company. In the real world when companies have poor profits and bad leadership the first things to go are benefits, or reduced ones at any rate. You on the other hand don't face those types of challenges and insecurity. The people you work for have the -

Here is a link to kaiser foundation that explains were ACA currently stands. It is called the affordable care act, not the free care act. The the annual cost are current. We will see a large infusion of money going into healthcare through insurance premiums. This apparently satisfied some that insurance continue to apply their business model to healthcare. The plan will more than likely be completely phased out by 2020, they can not sustain themselves under the ACA rulings. Health care systems during this time until then will continue to prepare to basically be the (insurance company). -
I needed to order some prints for a present from Sam's tonight. Clicked thru uploaded and I will pick them up tomorrow. I will be talking to the manager tomorrow, would p.commers be interested in a p.com Sam's membership?

It really comes down to what the owner can afford. If we hear that they have stopped it all together we will know why. I would hate it if they felt they had to continue because they didn't want to be made out to the bad guys for stopping it. I feel like this may be a warning that they can't continue to sustain this much free food cost. I would totally understand, that is a lot of money if my calculations are close to reality. -
Thanks for the info Subby, both of you are great, I usually respond to specific request when folks ask. Like with landscaping some mow grass and trim, some mow grass, trim and do chemical applications. There is a difference. Hope you weren't offended.

I don't think that is the point, I went back and reread the first post. The OP seems to be concerned with the volume of free food being more of a burden on the establishment than they expected when they made the offer. We are not talking discount here, We are talking totally free. We all make decisions about what we order from a menu based on cost, it tends to inhibit us from over eating. I am really starting to see the point here. It generally cost me about 7.00 dollars with tax for a conservative meal. Lets talk 10 officers every day and to be generous we will say 7.00 per meal. I come up -

the stone is going to leave a bruise, soon gone. Meth is going to ruin your life, you might as well put a gun to your head and pull the trigger. As a society we do not have to care about how bad these people have it because of their addiction. They voluntarily gave up their ability to care about anyone but themselves. I can tell you this, had my husband passed, myself nor my children would probably be able to speak coherently for days. A news interview? really? posting on a message board? really? You are assuming these people have feelings and we are hurting them, do you really not unde
