  2. Yep bubble gum machines just inside the door of the store. We would get to go when the shopping was over if we were good. If you were extra good you might get a nickel for the ring machine!!!
  3. It should take a man more than 3 seconds to unwrap his gift, he appreciates more that way
  4. Yep, I was looking at the JCPenney catalog the other day on line and they have them. Speaking of catalogs you don't see the one we use to get that were thick as a phone book anymore. Remember making Christmas trees out of them by bending the top corner down and spray painting them and adding glitter. Did you get much practice
  5. Speaking of out dated clothing, I looked for a couple of weeks for long, past the knee full length slips, could not find a single one. My mother in law had 5 that she had only worn once or twice and I got them. They are out of fashion because many people were never taught, or just decided that proper foundation was a pain. Nice clothes move better and look better over the proper foundation. I can tell when women are wearing it and when they are not. The new materials are much nicer and lighter weight than years ago. Which reminds me of the old fashioned girdles with garters and bullet b
  6. I got my first one at 18 months old. I still remember it believe it or not. My grandmother owned a beauty shop thats what they were called back in the day. They had the bright idea to give me one. I remember screaming and crying because the ammonia was burning my eyes and nose. they were waving newspapers in my face saying just a few more minutes it will be ok. Today it would be considered child abuse.
  7. I have always fought arrogance because of my beliefs. My belief that all things that exist fall under the law of perfect chaos meaning that achieving balance is the most important goal. It requires humility. We all strive and when we achieve things we tend to become more arrogant with each achievement. We have choices about choosing our peers. I have never chosen the peerage that I could have. If each success makes you become arrogant and entitled sooner or later you will be out of balance, the law of the universe is that all imbalances correct themselves sooner or later. If I don't allow m

  14. I will never forget the few hours I sat with Miss Jessie on the Dallas square. People thought she was crazy, she was the most real person I have ever known. Miss Jessie had a gift that was more a curse than anything. She could see, past your fake smile, your fashionable clothes, your power trip. She saw you for who you really were, you can take that any way you want to, you may have been wearing your best face when you walked or drove by her, but she saw you. She saw your fear, your insecurity, scorn, she saw it. She saw it everywhere she went all day. She was the reflection that you refused

  22. I did, When I was younger I always would find something to do on full moon nights outside. I love the eerie glow from the moon. There is nothing to compare especially when there is a hard frost. I guess growing up in the sticks there was not much to entertain you. Now I am cold natured, I can't remember the last time I took a walk on a crisp winter night with a full moon. Even your breath looked magical when you blew out and it glowed under the moon light.
