  1. These beautiful ornaments are made by cutting 5 inch circles of red sateen. You then take cotton balls place them in a bowl soak thoroughly in hot sauce and black pepper. Twist the top and tie off with orthodontic rubber bands. Insert hook under rubber band, tie ribbon for decoration, I dotted with glitter glue. Be sure to place them about nose level of a 150 lb dog that occasionally eats couches when bored
  2. Pwaaaa I am runnng around in pajama pants and a p.com Christmas shirt, I suspect I might be getting a tiny bit older!!
  3. Yes it was, we had a blast!!! All my friends were singing, dancing and having a good time. I am going to hang here to night, there was the insinuation that something special was going to happen as an early present
  4. It was year before, the new owner Kay can't afford to open it yet. The patio was un-permitted. It allowed x amount more seating and the county claims she needs to build more bathrooms to allow her to use it. Many of our leases in this county even less than 10 years old aren't up to code. Businesses are being hit with huge bills to bring them up to code after they have signed the lease, many walk away minus a years rent. The county will not pre-inspect these buildings for potential businesses, so they don't know until the inspector comes in to license. It was heartbreaking to watch what Kay
  5. Thanks guys for the warm birthday wishes. This is the second year in a row I could not find a suitable venue to have one of my wild birthday parties at. I so miss them and all the hugs and laughter that goes with it.
  6. Aww thank you so much! I am truly blessed with family and very good friends, I count you as one of them

    Hello folks

Mr. Dis you have been a poster here for many years. We get to know each other when we are regular here. Many times people are going through something, it effects how they react and post here. We are like family, we have our squabbles, but we tend to support each other when things are bad. Don't worry about folks that hold a grudge, most let things go and those are the folks that will be praying for you and your family. I can't imagine what you are going through, mental problems with a loved one is one of the hardest things in the world to cope with. Your healthy mind makes it very di
  8. Click the report button on the post and ask to have it moved to the forum you want. Ps. is there a FB page that I can share for the bake sale for the Parrish family?
  9. JMD You make a good point, this is the drug of no return. I have peers successful people that have grown kids hooked on this stuff. My heart always goes out to them. they have tried everything, gone broke putting their kids in rehab, taking care of grandchildren. This has simply brought a tragedy to light. I always told my kids I could not help them if they became addicted to drugs, the person you loved is pretty much gone. I always told them I would be there for recovery. Compassion is wasted on the users of meth, they can't reciprocate, dopamine is so essential to the function of the mind
  10. I would pet you and wub you and hug you and kiss you, I would feed you cheetos!!!
  11. Took care of it already. Read the rat thread, I am thinking I want more rats for friends.
  12. Intellectually we are at the top of the food chain, what about emotionally? It can be assumed that these rats have no concept of heaven or hell as reward or punishment for their behavior. That leaves us to wonder if emotions are hardwired into the brains of all animals, ourselves included. At the very least, the new experiment reported in Science is going to make people think differently about what it means to be a "rat." Eventually, though, it may tell us interesting things about what it means to be a human being. In a simple experiment, researchers at the University of Chicago so
  13. IZZ about NC being beautiful and the most entertaining
  14. Their were shots reported. Generally the person is discovered by someone and then reported. NC what I meant by that is that we don't pursue the story of who, how and where on these cases. As I said families have a hard enough time with it.
  15. That was the first clue, you are not on a message board before your husbands body is even cold. My understanding of meth is the dumping of dopamine makes it impossible for you to have normal emotional responses. It is the drug of no return, it takes away your humanity.
  16. Danny was armed, I am not sure if he always opened the door with pepper spray in his hand or if it was because he heard them yell sheriffs. Some people take umbrage that he was killed because of pepper spray. It is a weapon period, as is a baseball bat or anything raised in your hand towards an officer that you don't drop immediately. His first priority is to make it home alive to his family, as a citizen I am fine with that. However you feel about what happened, I suggest even if you feel it is wrong, you obey the officer drop it and put your hands were they can be seen. They were d
  17. I don't care what mayo goes on a sandwich, but for salads it's Blue plate.
  18. Someone reported shots fired at the residence. After taking necessary precautions on arrival, it was found to be an unattended death. We don't report on unattended deaths out of compassion and respect for the family. I am clearing this up because of all the rumors that may cause the family additional emotional pain.
  19. Since I started cooking with olive oil instead of vegetable oil I don't have that odor in the house anymore. When I visited my dad we, went to my aunts house, I almost gagged when I walked in the door. Try changing and see what happens.
  20. Oh dear, I thought he was on the mend. Prayers for you and your dad.
  21. Maybe the fireman can just feel good for trying. There are a lot of reasons people are homeless. Mostly because we are so wasteful as a society and throw so much out they can survive. Look under the over passes in Atlanta they have enough junk to furnish a small apartment.
  22. I am enthralled with this artist work. The somewhat awkward positions of his subjects seems to speak deeper than a nude. Nudity for many is awkward and uncomfortable, we feel vulnerable and exposed. I am cusious as to why some of his nudes look awkward and others depict the usual which is stylized nudity that impresses us.Was the model uncomfortable and did he want to make us feel uncomfortable with nudity in another way. Rather than the prudish type discomfort he exposes us to a different type discomfort with nudity. His other portraits seem to make us want to feel some sort of discomfort
  23. It is a women that builds them, she built me 2 single seaters for my porch, the quality of her work is excellent, She uses screws, counter sinks them and uses much heavier wood than most. You won't be sorry is she builds you a swing.
  24. I am a convert now to cleaning with vinegar. I was amazed at what it cleaned and also the amount of residue a lot of cleaners were leaving behind. The vinegar smell goes away pretty fast. It was as good if not better than bleach on a lot of things.
