  1. Before folks give up on this restaurant, wait awhile and give it a chance.. These non-franchised restaurant's don't have the resources to deal with being covered up inthe first few weeks. I try to stop by in the first few days to warn. them that there is. no such thing as a soft. Opening in Paulding.
  2. Or was it about your community? It seems to me that we better ourselves when we seek to better by others. I am still researching soft skills in hopes of making a huge difference in the economlc future of my community. I was inspired after seeing the huge difference that the childrens cabinet made in t youth. Has anyone else had thoughts alomg these lines? We saw great results. When a group of people wanted the shelter hours changed.
  3. Http://salonred.com the Brookhaven salon ask for Stephanie.. Keith is very good he is the only one I will allow to touch my hair between cuts with my daughter.
  4. This is one of the most obvious marketing ploys I have ever seen. Go buy them out of guns and ammo. I am not the least bit worried about the second ammendment.
  5. The price of insurance. Will continue to climb until people take the state option or pay healthcare systems a monthly premium. Nobody is forcing them out of business, their model is not profitable or efficent. My premiums with my system will probably go up until the the area hospitals get their systems in place. Unfotunately that 4.5 million our governor told the feds to stuff would have helped finance the system and have it up and running. Funny thing is Georgia's only medical system contributed the campaigns of many of the west Georgia state reps. I certainly hope this system can deliver co
  6. I have been praying for the folks in Alabama today. I know Mother nature does not recognize holidays. I have seen a lot of Christmas eve and day tornadoes. It seems so wrong to be in fear on Christmas. Love, compassion and forgiveness is what today is about. obviously that didn't last past the wrapping paper hitting the trash. If you guys are Jewish or Pagan forgive me for calling you out.:wub::wub::wub::wub:
  7. This thread is horrible, just rolled through page 2, going back to my warm fuzzy Christmas world. You people do realize how pathetic this thread really is on Christmas day ,,,don't you?
  8. A therapist told me that a very high percentage of overweight adults, men and women were molested as children. I am very surprised at the number of people that were molested as children. This is a huge concern, either there are a lot of molesters or molesters of children are prolific. When you see some of the light sentences many of them receive compared to all the damaged people walking around, it should be a life sentence. I also think parents that use food to deal with uncomfortable emotions, teach their children to use food as a coping mechanism, we are probably seeing issues carrie
  9. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! We are settling down after a wonderful evening with friends and family! I am truly blessed with my p.com friends and a wonderful family!
  10. I always want to hug all of you after reading your post.
  11. Do you believe she watches over you? For those of us that believe the veil between life and death is thin, it is easier to continue on as before. It does not mean you don't miss the one you love, it means that they are always beside you. Their love is pure without the conditions that make us human, She will not think you loved her any less for finding joy after her passing. Doing the ordinary daily things that are expected is the best way to cope with grief, doing Christmas for your kids is the best thing you could possibly do. I will say a little prayer of comfort for you. I saw
  12. This is one of the easiest questions ever ask. Humans have a basic psychological need to feel in control. Not feeling in control is one of the main cuases of depression and suicide. People that have at least 4 major losses of control in a year are prone to a severe depression. Divorce, job loss, death of a loved one, loss of ones home due to job loss.illness, or divorce, a victim of crime. Guns being legal in this country allows people to feel more secure and in control. That is exactly why I have one. I am not into guns. One thing political I want to add, those that think tha
  13. That breaks my heart, I can't imagine how painful this Christmas is for you. It sounds like you were best friends. Please treasure what you had. I left my home town 30 years ago, I love my sisters, but I am not close like that with any of them, Sometimes it hurts when they talk about the things they do together. God had other plans for me and I accept that, but what he gave you with your sister is very special. Maybe this will help you understand what your sister did, if she had a cancer that caused her so much pain, and their was no help, and she was terminal you would understand. We h

  17. I had a Mema too! Mema's are special. My Mema's birthday was Dec. 21st, we always made a big deal out of it, because as a kid her parents just lumped it in with Christmas. The older I get the more I treasure her. She taught me manners, took me to church and loved me unconditionally. She was a second mother to my sisters and I. He does not want you to suffer, for him your separation is the blink of an eye. He can not comfort you now so live your life in joy until you are together again. That is so sweet.
  18. My mom died 2 months before Christmas. Thanksgiving was awkward as we were getting accustomed to her being gone. My mother loved Christmas, it was a fantasy that she lived every December. We all went through the motions for our loved ones, but deep down we were sad. We felt like we could not express our sadness because we did not want to bring everyone down. I realized that year that we need to express our feelings. The Christmas song that makes you go to pieces in the store, you have to rush to the bathroom or car to get yourself together. For me I walked into Ingles fudge was sitting
  19. You and CC have special gifts in mind
  20. Making up laws about guns is so much easier than discussing mental health issues, that might actually cost money. Maybe the money charged to liscense guns could be used for mental health. I know a lot of folks object to any criteria for licensing fire arms, we may want to revisit that. LE get psychological evaluations before they are given authority over us and weapons to back it up. For some people guns represent authority and control over others. On the other hand I don't like slippery slopes. The wackos will probably manage to find a way to kill any way. Can we find some way of ident
  21. Since Hubby never ever gets on here I will share his Christmas present.
  22. I hope so, I bought him a 10.00 jingle bell collar and got accused of loving him. I said I wouldn't go quite that far It got pretty nerve racking after he ate the couch, while I was taking a nap no less. He has eaten 3 of his beds and 2 of the little dog beds and 3 full size bed pillows and 4 throw pillows, and yes I am keeping score. He does amaze me, we leave the storm door propped for him about 3 inches he pushes and pulls it to go in and out. He can get a 4ft long stick through it. Yep he sure is.
  23. Every day when I pull in the driveway I still see my Christmas tree standing in the window!!! You know why? I have a 150lb puppy, and if he wants something he takes it. He may be growing on me
  24. Ron has a sense of humor, thank goodness!
