  1. When did it change from a mentally ill man committing a crime to gangs? We need to look into how criminals are created. What type of environments create the most criminals. I always think of a hopeless situation where they come to believe they will only be allowed to have the things they desire by stealing them. If we were truly trying to rehabilitate those in prison we would have the answers by now. As it is our knowledge of the human mind is utilized to shrink the heads of those that can afford to see a therapist. When we examine why we believe things we often go back to our childh
  2. My grandmother drug her exhausted butt out of bed every Sunday morning to make sure I passed Jesus 101 or morality 101 as you might call it. I know what is and is not moral. We are talking human suffering that nothing but one of the supposedly best health care in the world can alleviate. Yet our constitution says let them broke as bums suffer and die. My grandmother was one of those broke as bums and a widow on top of it. She may not have left me a dime and she was way off on a lot of things, but she taught me right from wrong and I know wrong when I see it. Their guns are gonna buy them plen
  3. Low rent apartments. Low-income housing. Maybe it is a generational thing since you mostly see them now in the deep south and a lot have senior citizens and elderly. My parents lived in a double-wide for many years on a lot of multiple acreages. It was a really bad financial decision on their part. The dream home never came about and the mobile home did not gain much equity. So I was a politically incorrect . I take it you didn't like the point I made. Growing up you would see the cops in the trailer park almost daily and 1/2 the night on weekends. My understanding back in the day is it was a
  4. I find it interesting the amount of passion about gun ownership. The amount of money involved in it on every level from lobbyist to simple ownership when you compare it to the issue of healthcare for all. Did you know 300,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in this country? Something just seems off about the entire gun thing you would support the right of some broke ass trailer park trash to own a gun, yet not give a damn if he dies from a rotten tooth. That seems like a mental health issue in itself. Sounds a little like a liberal meme. Maybe I should run over to Facebook and see how many
  5. What you are saying is bullets are cheaper than mental health care. My guess is that funds would allow us to learn more about the organic brain. Early recognition and detection. I didn't say take guns away, I said keep them and agree with unlimited mental health care.
  6. I know my long post didn't exactly fit the tit for tat so many enjoy. I won't hold my breath waiting for gun control. I have always supported the right to own firearms. My concern has been more about the social frenzy of buying multiple firearms specific to personal protection and stockpiling ammo. This is what it reminds me of when I was young I was always baffled by the problems in the Middle East. I lived in a country were people used firearms to hunt food. People owned personal protection but it was a private matter. I can remember newsreels of cities in the Middle East with men ridin
  7. Our society is showing signs of illness as a whole. I believe there are people out there that have some of the answers, I think they believe that it is absolutely hopeless to speak out. The mass shootings are simply one of the symptoms of a society that feels it needs to be armed. Drug addiction and abuse, the rate of suicides. There is another addiction out there that is very well understood, yet never spoken of as a problem. We crave experiencing a kaleidoscope of emotions on a frequent basis. I often wonder if this is because physically we do less than ever before. There was a time when
  8. You would think that with all those commercials on tv begging people with issues to come get free mental health care this wouldn't happen anymore. You would think with them keeping people until they showed marked improvement the mentally ill would not be turned back onto the street. As Americans, we are doing our best to help these sick people but they just keep killing and killing. Maybe we should just give up and accept this as how it is going to be.It's a shame for all those dead people and their families.
  9. What exactly needs to be done with or to these people to satisfy people that feel the way you do towards non-heterosexuals? If my daughter is an adult I have no problem with it. Children should not use restrooms alone, If anything I would not mind bathrooms divided by child and adult. I just don't really care who is in the stall next to me. If we are getting down to what is offensive, we need to talk odor...
  10. I am a grown women. I am beyond the days of being embarrassed if someone sees a bra strap or whatever. You are a grown man so I guess I can ask you. How would men actually behave in a multiple stall unisex bathroom? Would you not be able to trust most men, a few men or say 1 in 10,000 to do or say something inappropriate? Do you think there would be a high number of molestations and rapes of females of all ages? I know men's minds work differently than women's so I am asking your opinion.

    Sick?

Just got my little bombshell in the mail from Kaiser. We are back to pre-ACA premiums in my age range. Back where most people started unable to pay premiums and going without. My health insurance is now higher than my house note. My deductible is so high I would have to have a serious hospitalization to ever reach it. I am so depressed now. I have to have regular at least 4 visits a year. I can't seem to get my blood sugar under control so it looks like I will need even more medical assistance in the future so I am afraid to drop it. I don't understand how so much federal money could be pumped

    Sick?

My Kaiser plan was better and more affordable before healthcare reform. Once they were forced to adhere to the new ACS insurance regulations it went to hell in a handbasket. There were claims that ACS was modeled after Kaiser. I have been with Kaiser for 10 years and I can tell you that ACA was designed to give insurance companies bigger profits. Now their profits are going down to pre-ACS they are leaving the market. This was the plan all along, to get insurance companies to voluntarily withdraw from healthcare. Trump rolling back their subsidies is going to make it happen faster. I hate
  13. Don't we hold him responsible for the actions of his appointees, or even the actions of his political party? It was ok for Obama so let's play by the same rules. This is the new and improved swamp, it's not what you know, but who you know. Being played just like local politics in towns across the nation.
  14. When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a tortoise balanced on top, that's a post tortoise." The old farmer saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there, to begin with."
  15. I am starting to believe our society is producing a lot of broken people. I truly believe that we are having trouble with processing reality. When you watch a movie or read a story the emotions invoked in the moment are as real as though it really happened. What does our brain do with pretend. Knowing it is not real does not change the emotions experienced. I am starting to wonder if we are not suffering all this trauma as though it really happened to us. We easily feel overwhelmed. Depressed, extremely stressed over the smallest things. We have it better and easier than any people in hi
  16. I read that this morning. Finally.
  17. You're kidding me, right? You would have the democratic party abolished if you could. If it were on the table, you would be to hell with freedom. You would have them destroyed. Close their businesses, financially break them. In other words, destroy the enemy. I watch how many times Tbar is brought up by you and your cronies. I don't see yall going after the postman. I see a double standard at work. You live in a mostly conservative area. You say and do what you want because there are powers in numbers. I don't think you can relate to being a minority. You feel very safe in your position of rig
  18. Lefties aren't cop haters. We are too damn smart to give anyone unconditional support. In other words, we are not gullible. Maybe you need to ask why this form of peaceful protest scares the right so much. I heard it all before when they dragged black people off while passively protesting civil rights. As long as you can find something to point a finger at it is all good. Rioting and looting is one thing. Peacefully getting the right kind of attention infuriates the right. I will point out you were the one that used the term lefty. so don't get your panties in a wad over the term righty coming
  19. They don't teach that in history classes. Learning about this affected me deeply and changed how I see black and white people. We are mean to all non-whites and have been throughout history. The fact that this is still not part of the curriculum in high school speaks volumes about white privilege. It exists and is so part of the norm that white people can't recognize it.
  20. I think you are wrong about the change of heart. Without the law, black people would have been allowed true freedom. We were kids when some of the lynchings and riots happened. I remember being taken out of school when busing started, just another word for desegregation. I remember when my grandmother drove her black maid home. I sat in the front and she sat in the back. Not out of personal disrespect but because both of them simply accepted that it was the way things were done. Funny thing, the maid was more financially secure than my grandmother. She owned her own home and it was paid for.
  21. I am thinking this is the dark side of the wishy-washy libertarian we keep hearing about. It sounds pretty firm on discrimination to me!
  22. You must really not remember how bad it was for blacks. I remember how they were treated. Discrimination has an ugly history. It doesn't stop at lunch counters and bus seats. Even more recently abused and murdered Gay people have not gotten what they had the right to in our judicial system. It doesn't stop in the bakery. It is the condoning of hatred and the freedom to practice it.
  23. I guess the difference for me is discriminating against people for the way they are born. Many Christians don't believe that they are born that way. They believe that people choose a lifestyle that will cause them to be shunned, abused and sometimes killed. It is no different than discriminating against people born with a mental deficit. The brains of homosexuals are obviously different than those of heterosexuals. Basically, it boils down to being mean to Gay people. It's not like they were asking them to put porn on a wedding cake. It says a lot about Jeff Sessions belief about ho
