Folks......read the article..... the kid escaped at 1:45 AM It wasn't like he just walked out the door during broad daylight hours.

They even had 'safety' locks on the doors. He was able to break those and get out during the middle of the night (1:45am) He then got the beer out of the grandpa's cooler outside.....

This is an old scam. Clark Howard talked about this years ago. I'm not saying it's still not going on...but that it's just been done for a long time. He said what they would do is right down all the numbers on the gift cards and call everyday to find out what the balance is. Then they would have it mailed to empty houses or PO boxes. I've never had a problem with this. I buy my parents one every year. My DBF asked for one also if they couldn't find the gift he wants. I always give one to my BFF that way she can buy what she wants...I guess I've just been lucky. Be careful out there....
