  1. I'm so sorry to hear that. My prayers are with you all. Our lives are so fragile.
  2. She's right, don't miss that! It was quite a sight for this girl who had barely been out of the state of Tennessee before! I would do it in a heartbeat if I was well enough. Good idea to take a gun for bears and such. What a great time to spend with your kids!
  3. FWIW, My personal favorite is the .22 auto. It is very lightweight and accurate. Maybe not as powerful as the .38 or .45 but just as deadly. It would be my go-to gun for sure. I'm not very strong and I just feel more comfortable with it. You might want to try one out if you are going to a range that rents. Best of luck, Carol.
  4. I'm so sorry. I have a brother who has been very sick lately and I can't imagine losing him. I'm very sorry for your loss.
  5. I know, traffic is so bad! I usually get them out of here by 7:30...it was just one of those mornings. They are at school. Confirmed. Thank God! Thank you for posting the information.
  6. Thank you...my kids were running late for school, usually they are early birds...my fault. I'm going to call and make sure they made it.
  7. What color was the pickup truck? Sorry all the questions.
  8. You expect them to learn? Can you look at your cedarcrest thread please?
  9. Are you going to the body tap? Do you have all kinds of protection?
  10. Do you have a ben franklin? Do you need ones and fives?
  11. Can you dance? Don't dancers get dollars?
  12. There was a wreck on the other side of the road at my husband's grandpa's procession. We were about the 3rd or 4th car back from the hearse-BAM!-this car rams into the one stopped right beside us, it was aweful. So, after that I only stop if it's safe to do so, and always with an eye in the rearview. Traffic is crazy here in the metro, be careful everyone.
  13. haha! Actually, not to be a debbie downer or anything, the web site I got the above from (a site for people with chronic illnesses) says that excessive alcohol should be avoided because it is "an immune system buster."
  14. Practical advise for avoiding swine flu: The only portals of entry for the Swine flu are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is. While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be pra
  15. This is an obscure incident of the sort that keeps the racism industry alive & thriving. OMG we might have found a real racist!!! lol.
  16. Too odd. This looks like a stunt to me. Maybe I'm jaded. And I pray that he's ok.
  17. I can see how you would be homesick, what a beautiful place to call home.
  18. I don't think anyone said that. However, the facemask was on purpose, not accidental or incidental. A week off then on to Bowden. GO PACK!
  19. Thank you also, Johnboy's, for doing a great job fixing our truck. It was convenient, fast and my brother (the vehicle genious ) said that I would have paid more for all the work you did if I had gone somewhere else. Plus, you came out to my house and diagnosed the problem beforehand!
  20. Only as a warning. If you have a glass top table and small children in the house, you might want to consider getting rid of it. It may or may not be shatter proof as the manufacturer claims. It may be deadly.
  21. Yikes I've got another scary as hell story about that one but I'll spare youse people. I'll just say you've got a good point if your home is not completely child proof, and few are.
