  1. Thank you! Just wanted an idea of the cost.
  2. How much is the fine for rear-ending someone in Hiram, GA?
  3. Denise, I have been thinking of you and Phillip and your situation. It always helps me to put things in perspective when I read your updates or when you are giving such needed advice to me! I've been thinking of life's storms and how you are striving to continue to "dance in the rain" and how I wonder if I can ever have such a good outlook as you do. Please know that through your storms, you are a light for the rest of us that face a tiny mist of rain and want to complain. Thank you, Denise and I will continue to pray for you and Phillip, that God will do a mighty work to restore him.
  4. You know why I was relieved; I thought I'd end up trying to mow it by myself while my children destroyed the inside of the house! The 3yo loves finding Sharpie markers and "drawing" everywhere, walls included.
  5. I just wanted to let everyone know that "No Job Too Small" took on the job of restoring my lawn after it hadn't been cared for in almost a month. My husband has had to work too much for him to have any energy left to take care of it. John with "No Job Too Small" was so friendly and reasonable and had it taken care of within 24 hours of my call. I even decided to do a regular rotation of lawncare! No Job Too Small's website
  6. So funny! I thought about that guy as soon as I saw the pictures.
  7. I posted about this in May and I was a very frustrated homeowner. I knew something wasn't right when two months after receiving my 50% downpayment, I didn't have a new roof. I got my new roof eventually and it looks okay. I didn't feel right about the business then and I still don't. I don't know if the link will go through, but here's my attempt to link to the post. My post
  8. Yeah, I think so. Well, I just called their number and there was no answer but I've got to get out of the house with these children. They are getting stir crazy! I hope AJs is still open and I can get a deal on something. My husband and I have only bought two new pieces of furniture in 10 years, so we really need some good stuff. Sun's still out so I'm going to go dry out the bed of the truck!
  9. AJS Furniture Mart. I think it's off 278. Well, I wonder if it will be raining in Hiram in about an hour. I want to beat the after-work traffic if it's still open.
  10. Great now the sun is out in New Hope. Maybe I can go pick up some furniture in the pick up. Has anyone heard if that Furniture place on 278 that was going out of business is still open? Maybe I should start a new topic. Thanks.
  11. "Tussy" --that made me laugh out loud. really. hehehe
  12. I guess you didn't see my post CC. ??????
  13. Oh so true!!! I almost charded in my pants laughing at that!
  14. If you still have two, that would be wonderful!
  15. Good luck with that. I did my mother's cabinets (and all 26 doors) and it took me over a week. She has real wood cabinets.
  16. I just had this challenge last weekend. I used Resolve (formerly spray n wash) directly sprayed on the stain and then as the detergent for the wash I used ALL with OXI liquid detergent. My uncle sweared that nothing would get it out, but it worked. I don't know if it was one of the products or the combination, but the stain is gone. Also, I washed using warm water. Good luck!
  17. Just wanted to update that we got our new roof last week and it looks great. It's rained a bit and no leaks, but we do have a warranty anyway. Thanks for the input. It was just a "large company that got behind" type of situation. I would not recommend them to someone else though, for that reason. I do think that if I were a business owner, I would make sure that potential customers know up front that it could take three months to deliver the service/product. Regardless, the roof is good and is an upgrade from the previous one.
  18. We filed a claim at the end of March this year and had a roofing company set up for installation. The roofer took the contract the same day the insurance approved the claim. Our installation date was set for May 11. We've been rescheduled for June. How long do the roofing companies have to do the installation? Is there a normal time frame, no matter what company it is? Yes, this is a big company, but I don't want to give the name yet. I just want general info from everyone about what is a reasonable time frame. We do not have any leaks, yet. We are getting eave/overhang damage though.
  19. We're in New Hope and I didn't hear anything. What neighborhood is the noise?
  20. Okay, I thought with your training that would be closer to your idea.
  21. Yes, going to the right. Look at what happened to Ted Kennedy's seat in Boston.
