  1. That does sound scary! I'm glad no one was hurt.
  2. She will forget all about it when she needs something, but don't you forget so that you never mix money and family. If something leaves your family and goes to her and the kids, don't expect it back and you won't feel slighted.
  3. Thank you for the info. I guess the delivery truck from AJC was earlier this week. I'll have to make sure I'm early tomorrow!
  4. I was in Hiram around 4:30 and didn't see any vendors and I usually see them in at least two different places around that time on Saturdays. Maybe I just missed it?
  5. Where is the Ridge Road Fire Station? directions please, anyone?
  6. Thank you so much everyone. I always get compliments on my mashed potatoes so I'm going to do those, glazed carrots, and bread. We have a garden with tomatoes and green beans, so that may work, too. I need to go harvest now! BTW, I'm a vegetarian, so the meat sides really baffle me sometimes. Thank you again!
  7. I will be participating in the community makeover and will be cooking side items to go with the main dish, roast. What do you think? It needs to be something that could be easily reheated. Thank you in advance!
  8. Yes, I tried this and it made my hair pine straw dry. DO not do it if you have dry hair already. If you have normal or oily hair, mix the baking soda with water first, because it will be a mess to comb your hair out after it's washed.
  9. Maybe that is why a kid would want to eat it? I don't know... kids eat the dardnest thing thread
  10. THank you! Yes, he sat down at a picnic table and the bird poop was what was on the table so he ate it. My son was four years old at the time.
  11. Don't mean to hijack, but how do I delete my avatar picture?
  12. My son ate bird poop once. I posted on pcom about it last year.
  13. My original post is still what I'm saying. I guess one must have a good financial planner for it to be obvious. Maybe we should be advocating for veterans' programs for financial planning. It just sounds like a midnight cable ad: "Save for retirement by buying a junk house for $15,000" even though it is uninhabitable. It's a separate discussion of course, but I would like to say I am grateful to all veterans and it has been by the grace of God that my family members serving now and in the past haven't been terribly injured.
  14. Whoever recommended that financial planner has serious judgment problems. They only had 100,000 and no home of their own and the planner told them to buy houses to remodel? That was just the first mistake. I don't believe in luck. I believe in planning and prayer. There are many things in this story that just don't make sense, logically speaking.
  15. You said it before I could say it for you. My husband is already up to level 18 or so (might be level 19 or more by now) in less than a month.
  16. The tubing companies will say the water is great anyway. They have the motive of wanting to make money to feed themselves. I lived there for a while. We had people where I worked that the tubing companies would lie to all the time. After the customers would go down the river bumping their butts on the rocks, they'd come back and complain saying the tubing people said the water was fine. Also, don't shave your legs the morning before going tubing (do it the night or day before). IF you have open sores, bacteria can get in there and give you nasty infections. The wat
  17. Ten minutes of your time would be too much time for me with my sewing skills (or lack of).
  18. Hahahaha. I'm sure Paulding.com posters had ALL the answers! This place cracks me up sometimes. It's like turning on the news and hearing regular people during interviews trying to use non-words like irregardless and supposably. I find that strangely entertaining as well.
  19. The question is... if she had been a woman in a certain profession (Ex: Playboy model) would she have gotten a higher amount because of firing her from her job also? Yes, I intended that pun. Enjoy.
  20. I saw those ideas in the Family Fun magazine. How much time do the boys' shirts take to make?
  21. I am a teacher and I know how I am paid. If I use more sick time than I have, I know we are docked based on our hourly rate. Ex: Divide salary by number of days contracted to work, then by 8 hours for each day, etc. There is no such thing as having the summer "off with pay" is what I was referring to. Our salary (for hours worked) is divided by twelve instead of by the number of months in the school year. People that talk about things and think they know everything just annoy me. That's all. I could correct a few grammar errors in this thread. I guess the people that suggest we
  22. Whoa, you're just a ray of sunshine today.
