That is SAD!!!! DH got his dream truck August 7th and on Nov. 14th an idiot totaled it out. Allstate was GREAT and treated us better than we expected. But, we are still shopping for a replacement.

I agree with you!!! Bobby has been at FSU forever and has made that program what it has been. Granted, they haven't been the super team the last couple of years but he DID put them on the map. Meyer has been at FL only FIVE years!!! He has accomplished a LOT in those five years but it is just like here in Georgia - you would think there was only ONE college in the entire state!!

True - one player does not a team make. BUT....when your leading rusher is your quarterback, it gets close. And, I agree, Tebow was NOT the "God" the media made him out to be. Although, I think he is a wonderful Christian young man with good morals and character....and a good football player with a lot of natural talent. I certainly hope Meyer does NOT have a brain tumor. I have not heard that reported but I sure hope it is not the cause of his health issues. Actually, I like Meyer.

I don't believe the old wives tale but my mother ALWAYS had greens, blackeye peas and hog jawls on New YearsDay . We don't get greens but we eat boiled cabbage and cole slaw (for money) in it's place and we eat crowder or field peas in place of black-eye peas as we don't eat them (for good health). I cannot remember what the hog jawls were for but we always have pork roast or pork chops in place of the jawls. Doubt we'll keep up the tradition this year since we will be spending it in Orlando and won't be cooking.

I always throw out the leftover cornbread for the birds and we have several bird feeders on the porch. I just reminded DH to bring home some birdseed. Thanks for the reminder, WB.

People were paying MUCH more than $50 for them on ebay prior to Christmas which I thought was completely stupid!!!! Once you got the hamster, the accessories were ridiculously high, too. And, you are right, they were only that popular because the media told us they were. Fortunately my DGD's did not want one.

DH and I were given a GC to Applebee's and we are considering using it tonight. It not, we will be going out to eat somewhere.

Of everything DS got he was the most thrilled over his Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Gift Set. DH loved his feather pillow (yes, it doesn't take much.....and his feather pillow he's had for at least 30 years has had it!!!!!) I love my cape (I guess is what you call it) black edged in houndstooth. 8 yr old DGD got a laptop and 5 yr old DGD got a 3 story Barbie house. Both were thrilled and everything else sorta fell by the wayside.

It is a BEAUTIFUL area. As a child I had walked down to the river with some friends and their mother. I was going to walk back to the top to get my swimsuit so I could swim in the creek. BUT......I got lost on the mountain and spent over 2 hours terrified as I tried to find my way out of there. I didn't get to go swimming, either. I love Little River and Noccalula Falls!!! Two of God's Natural Beauties.
