We do the same when we sit at a table visiting with friends, etc. Typically will double the tip because another party was not able to use the table and the server missed out on a tip.

In my original post about my tea glass in this thread was "the tip goes up if the server keeps my tea glass filled" was not to imply if my glass gets beneath 4 inches that I am going to prove a point. I am talking about when my tea glass sits empty for the majority of my meal. IF the server does not notice during all that time that my glass is EMPTY yes I will deduct from the tip. That is not only bad service but terrible service. I have had this happen when the restaurant was not even busy, much less the server being busy. .It has NOTHING to do with being power thing and folks who actually kn

WOW! I have been surprised at some of the comments and how some employers treat employees in this field. I am sure the information provided by Starr & Dru's Nana will be helpful to many. Fortunately, my children won't be needed it as my DD has a WONDERFUL employer and DS is no longer a server. I am encouraged by the responses of good tipping!!

The $25 to transfer to Kroger is why I initially checked on the price of the prescription to begin with. But, since it was going to be over $60 difference to get it at Kroger rather than Walgreens the math didn't add up. Kroger has that program ongoing and I know folks that will transfer to Kroger, then the next month transfer to Walgreens to get $25 from them and back to Kroger then to Walgreens or maybe Target when the have a coupon in their sales ad, etc. The pharmacy does not care because they are getting their money from the pharmaceutical company. Most of my meds are not available in gen

One of the only times I can remember agreeing with you but on this subject I do 110%!!

VERY INTERESTING!! Thanks again.

Yes I know FOR A FACT of one in Hiram that does NOT pay the employees the $2.13/hr. The owner will over schedule servers to cause 3-4 to be standing around with very few customers in the restaurant. But, it is no skin off his back because it isn't causing him anything. And, as I said it is stated in the menu at Backwoods. However, I don't think it is much of a big deal there because the servers make much more in tips than minimum wage anyway. THANK YOU for the info as to who to report to.

I also said some restaurants do NOT pay the ordinary $2.13/hr. But, I see your point completely.

I found myself without insurance in July when DH's employer dropped his insurance since he had been out of work on WC since March. I have maintenance medications I must take to survive - anti rejection drugs for my transplanted kidney, diabetic insulin, blood pressure meds, etc. The pharmaceutical companies help me with the most expensive. Just one of my anti rejection drugs is over $2000 a month if I paid for it out of pocket. But, many of my medications I do pay for. I called around on all of them and found Walgreens to be the cheapest. I had to pay a $20 fee for their discount program

I am just the opposite. I tell the doctor in the ER or hospital when I have to go not to bother with the phenergan. I might as well be putting a Sweetart in my mouth. Zofran works good for me and I hope it continues to when I need it. I don't believe she has insurance so that would be irrelevant in her situation.

I would like to think he has grown up since his punk days at LSU. However, he is a very talented football player who has not made the news or had any punk activity reported on him in awhile. Maybe another chance at a good life??? Don't know about you but I believe in them. Time will tell however, if the Falcons are anybody signs him.

At first I was disappointed in the sentence but I totally agree with a deal that includes the other children not being traumatized by having to testify. Besides, those will be 15 L-O-N-G years once the other inmates learn what they are incarcerated for!!!

I certainly hope they left a larger bill and just picked up your tip as change. Otherwise that is HORRIBLE!!!!

I have always been what I considered a good tipper realizing how hard some servers work at their jobs. I will tip 18%-20% all the time minimum and the tip goes up if the server keeps my tea glass filled. All other excellent service and good attitude increases the tip. If I don't see the server throughout my meal (and my tea glass sits empty) or she/he obviously is working in the wrong field (attitude) I deduct from the tip. Having two children who are/were servers and depend on tips for their livelihood made me even MORE aware of how important it is to tip well. Both take a LOT of pride in the

I am with you 110% SAME HERE!!!

I was not surprised at all when I heard about the releases this morning on the Sports Talk radio station. The Falcons are interested in getting Honey Badger aka Tyrann Mathieu. He would be a great addition to the defense and I think Eddie Lacy would compliment the offense in the running back position.

I refuse to watch it anymore and will NOT as long as that trash referred to Nicki is on there!! Idol hit the lowest of lows when they put her on the panel. I don't know why they didn't go back to a 3 judge panel. The only reason she is on there is bc every and anyone with respect in the music industry had turned them down. So, they ended up with someone with NO talent and NO business on there.

There are a LOT of children in Alabama these days named Krimson and Saban. The Daddy to our pups is named Saban, too! And, of course the DS is 22 years old and is named BRYANT. Yep, our blood runs Crimson, not red. If you don't need it anymore we could definitely use it. THANKS!!
