I was being sarcastic I think it is highly unprofessional for anyone to suggest a tip. I would never make any of my clients feel obligated to tip me but all tattooists and piercers have different work ethics. I am grateful for any tips that I receive. In our economy, we are lucky to be doing any tattoos or piercings. We aren't a necessity. If someone asks me if they are supposed to tip, I tell them that if they are happy with their service then feel free but it is never ever expected. But yes, I do consider our industry one in which tips are appreciated, just like you would tip
