from nebo up hwy 61 toward dallas is passable but there is black ice, my husband is on his way to work and just called... he said some are having problems making it up the hill at the bridge in front of walgreens.

I have no complaints... I also watched the weather since sunday, and being a simple plan person with no weather term knowledge I knew it was coming, the weather station said it would be here in dallas between 10- 11am, expect 1-3 inches at 9:40 it started snowing... sunday the items were bought that we needed, my husband loaded his truck down, with items he would need in case he was stranded in traffic, which he was. so although i am not a smart weather meteorologist, however the tv stations gave me enough information on sunday to do what I needed to do to take care of us when the snow came.

so how many will venture out today? who HAS to go to work? my husband has a delay they have to be at work at noon... me? if i can help it my butt will stay at home, I may go outside to get some fresh air..

*raisinghand* I have been getting out side and walking around.... not really wanting to get out on the road, just getting outside has helped me..

not sure about dallas hwy, hut hwy 61 (white oak park) cars seem to be moving ok..

if you have medical issues that requires meds, please put extra meds in your car.. my husband is a diabetic, and he was prepared to be stuck in traffic yesterday, he took extra meds with him, good thing he did, while he was trying to get home (5 hours) his sugar dropped but he had meds with him. and snacks. and a full tank of gas. he had also let some air out of his tires, and loaded his truck down with wood to make it heavy in the back for better traction.

I do see cars using hwy 61, coming from dallas and villa rica area.

listening to the scanner yesterday and hearing what these drivers were going through trying to get the kids home, i say Job very well done... I could not have done it....

we live on nebo road close to hwy 61 end, if you need food, or some were to stay let me know, we also have a 4 wheeler and we have plenty of toilet paper lol

Does anyone know if the parents have been told when to pick their child up today? I am wondering how that is going to work....

Ms Surepip I posted a list of roads that are closed , and hwy 92 is one of them, I am just not sure which part of 92 is closed. this is all i could find *State Route 92 in Paulding County;*

not a good idea to get out right now, but if you are out and you see stores that are open, please post in case someone has to have something from the store, they will know were to go instead of driving around looking for one. I am thinking of the elderly and parents with small kids who may need something...
