I can't speak for GEAGirl but our trip is 10 years in the making. Other then our Honeymoon (Orlando) since we have been married the most exciting place we have visited was Daytona Beach for the race - and that was only because of my Dad's job.

The mrs's LOVED London when she was there. I want to see all the little dive bars that the Stones and Beatles started out at etc. Will check out Amalfi. I was surprised at how affordable Dubai was, but maybe it's the economy. We are just excited to actually be planning a trip that doesn't involve the Detroit Metro Airport or lugging boxes around. Dubai Part of me wants to wait until Tiger Woods golf course is finished before we go. Not much of a golfer but it would be cool to say I played it.

Nothing that "exotic". We both want to go to London, she has been once and would love to go back. Sydney is the other but cost will most likely rule that out - I was shocked it was so much there, not even counting the airfare. We haven't had a vacation that didn't involve family events or moving in over 5 years so we are due and are going to do this one right no matter where we go.

We had friends that went 6 months ago and loved it. I find the city to be very interesting so between that and their rave reviews we are looking at it. I should say it is my top pick, wife has it in her top 3.
