  1. It's official! You and I are cut from the same fabric(pardon the pun!) . I HATE that !!! I weigh 103 lbs but I'm 37 and KNOW I'm too old for that stuff and that's OKAY. When women can't let go of a once trendy and YOUNGER style , they look just RIDICULOUS and older than they actually are . I think it's definitely a lazy option for an outfit. Don't have to think hard...just a long t or sweater, tights and boots.
  2. NO way! I love cooking and food and everything related and I had never heard of potato salad in a greek salad, or any other salad, for that matter .I just went in the kitchen and made myself one ...heehee! It IS so good .
  3. I love a good, cold, fresh Greek salad with plenty of olives, feta cheese and crispy romaine . So, a client of mine tells me that in a very big Greek population in South Florida, they LOVE their authentic Greek restaurants. Anyway, it is expected there to add a heaping spoonful of potato salad then continue to dress the Greek salad with all your favorites. I thought "Hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ?" at first. Upon further thought...YEAH! That actually sounds pretty darn good! Okay, so, I've eaten about 8 of these salads in a week ! SO GOOD! Ever h
  4. Because I truly was asking a question earlier. After she explained what they do, for whom and why, I, like any other human with a heart, could see the good and how lots of people like the idea of police officers doing this. If I have a differing opinion, I should not let it fly here. I was REALLY just asking about the program. I have no issues stating my personal opinions but I dont want this to turn ugly. NOT what I was trying to do.
  5. Well, I certainly understand the part about helping the kids(and their parents also). I am always in favor of helping ANYONE who needs help with no judgment. I just have a problem with the police dept part.(and NO, I do not have any sort of criminal record, I was not married to a cop and have never had a Rodney King experience with one either). I know they are helping and that part is GREAT. Well, I will just keep the rest of my opinion to myself. I am glad these kids were blessed and I'm glad that you were too by seeing it. Didn't mean to be a spoiler, it just kinda gets under my skin.
  6. I'm not sure I know why this is such a fantastic program.
  7. I'll be there on Tuesday! Can't wait. I LOVE a great deal and have LOTS of friends to tell about you also.
  8. I do love your store. When I lived in Paulding County, I ALWAYS chose you guys over the post office or anywhere else for that matter. Friendly, knowledgeable and in an easy to get to location. If I werent all the way in Kennesaw, I would still be giving you my business.
  9. ! I will leave my mail carrier $50 this year(what I planned). Wish I could do more but I can't this year. They always do a great job and work hard all year long.
  10. I wasnt but thank you for thinking of me! Where were you?
  11. I do it often. I find that when I think of the fact the MOST of the people I'm speaking to would RATHER die than do what I'm doing, it comforts me...lol. Seriously, in most polls, most people would rather do almost ANYTHING that speak in public. That in and of itself lends me courage 'cause I'll do it whenever need be.
  12. quite excited about it, really! I think as women age, we become more sure of who we really are, more stable in ourselves, happier with whom we've become! I know I am! Sheesh! I wouldnt go back even if I could! EVERYTHING is better now and I'm enjoying every minute. Bring it, Father Time! You got nuthin' on me! My Mother is smiling on me . I love you, Mimi and I love the woman you raised me to be . Hose, heels and pearls all the way! You are my hero .
  13. With everything I've heard about her, she should be ready for Sainthood! What a delightful story. She is truly a virtuous woman. Glad she could help you get home safe and sound, Mark. What a jewel to have living among us!
  14. WOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Pubby! You got us talkin'! Oh, and yeah, Pcom is slower than usual for a great reason.
  15. That is MY KINDA book! I am making plans to be there! THNX
  16. I'm an NPR addict! It is SUCH a wonderful reprieve from status quo radio.
  17. I chop it up in salads, bake it on homemade pizzas and drop it in japanese miso but I need some new ideas for my tofu .
  18. Ah! That sounds wonderful. Those are the things that make life great. I'm making a hippie dinner...romaine salad with sunflower seeds, tofu, tomatoes, cucumber and ginger dressing then a homemade pizza...tofu, banana peppers, lots of cheese, klamata olives and onion. Peace, love and YUM!!!
  19. Me too. I got to meet, shake hands and talk to Pres Clinton this summer. Although, I cannot stand a lot of his ways and ideas, I DO think he is a brilliant man, was a good President, is a real Dem and NOT a Liberal. I was elated to meet him. He could NOT have been friendlier and very approachable. GREAT experience. I would LOVE to meet W and Laura.
  20. If he's wearing his cowboy hat, jeans and tshirt with a chainsaw in his hands then ME TOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  21. That sounds so yummy and a great deal, too! I will be in for lunch before the weekend. I've been wanting to try Rodneys but since I'm not in Paulding, I forget about it . I WILL be there for the soup that sounds delectable and I'm bringing friends with me. Thnx for posting and letting us know!
