Oh, its nowhere close to over yet. They started at 5:00. I had lined up a fellow bartender to come take over for me at 9:45 as I had been there(work)since 10 am(I work at an airport bar/restaurant so I worked all day then they took me to his hangar to work the party).

Yay for Holiday parties with fat expense accounts! Can't say who ( I totally would but we had to sign something saying we wouldnt tell any names or share pics), but it was a very famous rapper and producer from Atlanta who frequents where I serve and bartend part time. It's amazing the money these people throw down like it's nothing. Just so glad they do! He has a HUGE hot tub, multiple big screen tv's, a full bar and video games in the hangar where his private plane is kept. It's where the party was. A TOTALLY different world than my world, but lots of fun for a party.

I agree with you, in part, anyway. I am a gun owner and proud of it but I would NOT count myself in the patriotic bunch at ALL. I have a deep respect for our Veterans and those who serve but I agree with little of what this country now stands for and I'm totally against MOST of the things we do(especially occupying other countries). I love what America once was but not anymore.

again, I live in Kennesaw and I have a gun...3 actually and have my eye on a pretty new 1911. I have a concealed carry license. I have one at home, one in my car and one in my purse. The few places where I can't carry, I leave it in my car but I'm armed 98% of the time and have a pepper spray you can only buy at gun shows that will literally knock a grown man on the ground from 3 feet away.I do not live in fear but I'm not going to be the little woman thinking a chefs knife will stop an intruder in my home or a parking lot.

And that is another peeve of mine...chasing a 2 yr old? Seriously? I am a parent and can say with total confidence, I would NEVER have let my child get away with that and it is completely ridiculous to watch an adult chase a child or anything of the sort. Read some John Rosemond stuff.

I agree. I will ask not to be seated close to anyone with little kids. I cant believe people let their kids run around, jump, cry, scream, etc in a restaurant. It is so rude.

Actually, I'm a taxpayer in Kennesaw and I have a gun and a concealed carry license. And, yes, the crime rate is lower here. Have one under my mattress, one in my car and another in my purse. I do NOT live in fear at all, but I do know that a friendly, harmless situation, can turn ugly, violent and even deadly in seconds as you're standing there stunned. If the bad guy has a gun and you don't...you lose.

A liquor store would be a great commodity there. Or, some other independent biz that the community could come out and support. Bleck with chain stores.
