  1. This is my BIL's MawMaw, and she was such a fun and amazing lady You guys are all in our prayers.
  2. The lightning out here has been crazy. The fires don't surprise me at all.
  3. I very much remember your Mom. She wasn't one of my teachers, but she was always so funny. I wasn't aware that she had passed on; I guess I'd moved on to high school by that time. I'm sorry for your loss.
  4. God bless you. Losing a parent really, really hurts. I'm sorry you're going through it. Once the one year passed for me, it got a little easier--maybe because I was dreading it so much. I'm sorry for your loss, and I can totally empathize.
  5. I was thinking about you today. You guys were several years older than me, but I remember all of you hanging out and hanging around together.
  6. The schools contract with the Sheriff's office. All of the school resource officers are also PCSO deputies.
  7. Though I married into this family, I have never felt more love and support from a group of people than the Corleys. They have always treated me as one of their own. I feel so blessed to have them all in my life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
  8. I was thinking washing machine too. My sister and her husband were sitting on the sofa watching TV one night when they heard what they thought was a very close range gunshot. As they were waiting for the police to come to the apt. complex and take a look around, her husband went to the fridge and found a can of coke in the freezer that had exploded The police were at least good sports about it.
  9. I went to school with Jamie--how completely awful for her family.
  10. I'm so sorry you're hurting. I'm sure he's looking down on you now I lost my Daddy 5 months ago on September 7th. I miss him so much, and the pain is still so raw. I know, though, that he's up in Heaven hanging out and fixing old cars with his Dad and my other grandfather.
  11. I'm so sorry. The family will be in my prayers tonight.
  12. I'll let Mom and Katrina know And, by the way, I could hear him chuckling in my head ;-)
  13. His humor was definitely something that he passed along to me. That was the great thing about his service--I think there was as much laughter as there were tears. We told stories (apparently Dad thought it was a good idea to shave 1/2 of someone's mustache on a camping trip), and we also watched a video montage with pictures and videos. Mom, Katrina, and I got so tickled at the beginning of the service thinking about how proud he would be to see that we successfully used the laptop to do the music ;-) He would have been proud of how the service turned out
  14. Ken, I called my Mom this afternoon and told her that she needed to read this She did, and she also printed it out to share with my aunt and Mema (Daddy's sister and mom). I really appreciate you writing all of that. I knew my Dad as the person who kissed my knees when they were skinned, and who held my hand with tears in his eyes after my kids were born. He was such a wonderful, kind, and loving man, and I miss him so much already. Even as much as I knew what a great man he was, though, it is nice to hear from others as well I know that Daddy thought the world of you as we
  15. Thank you to everyone who has sent cards and letters, and those who came to the funeral home last night. Daddy would have been so proud to see how well people have been taking care of Mom, my sisters and me, and his mom and sister. It was a beautiful service, and I appreciate how warm and kind Jamie Benson and his family were to all of us. God Bless.
