So my husband goes out to look for the cut off valve at the street just in case we have a mess after thawing. And it appears the cover over the meter was not on it. Grrrrr....the meter is under a bush and we have no young kids in the neighborhood to be playing with it. We've been here 12 years and never had frozen pipes.

One very good reason to get a passport. A few years ago we missed our cruise due to our plane getting in late due to storms in Miami. My husband and I had our passports but our daughter and her fiance only had birth certificates. The airline was willing to fly my husband and I to the first port to catch up with our ship free of charge. But they would not fly our daughter and her fiance due to them having birth certificates only
