I would recommend passing up this one. No, typically, Charles Daly's are not good guns. First, they are no longer in business. They closed their doors in Jan of 2010. So, warranty work... none. Second, they were not a manufacturer. They imported a Hodge-poge of weapons, re-labeled them, and sold them as their own... and they were not known for importing quality firearms. In 2009, they had the highest failure and return rate of any firearm on the market. The particular model you are asking about has had several reports of firing pins breaking, being manufacture red to

+100 If you want to see Alaska, don't go on a cruise-line cruise. You will get to see very little of Alaska on a cruise. Fly in to one of the cities, rent a vehicle, and drive... The cruise lines take you to certain places and you miss a LOT of the beauty of the state. We flew in to Anchorage and drove all over Wasila, Homer, Chena, Fairbanks, Denali(Mt. McKinley), Valdez, Sitka, etc... We took a day ferry, where we drove the car on to the ferry and there was an all day ferry cruise and we took several all day sight seeing cruises... Going on a cruise line, you're goi

I don't buy a lot of ammo from them, but I do buy a lot of components, because I load my own stuff. The last few times that I have been in, they were literally pulling the ammo cans off the assembly line, taking them to the show room, and selling them immediately. Since I buy so much from them, I get to talking to the guys and ladies that work there when I go in... They've told me that they take full sized tractor trailer to the gun shows and have been selling most everything they have. BTW, if you call them and want to buy some, you can leave your name and they will save you s

This is no more apparent than in the city of Galvenston, TX where the city opted out of social security. I believe it was the school system. They brought in their own financial company and rejected the social security system... they allowed their employee's to to choose the retirement fund and aggression they wanted... and those employees have been retiring sooner and many have retired millionaires. I don't think anyone has retired a millionaire from 'savings' the social security program holds (takes from) for me. -

That sign means absolutely nothing, legally. Until the point the property owner or a representative of the property owner asks you to leave, you are doing nothing wrong. If he's approached and asked to leave, then he must do so, or face trespassing charges. Just because they put a sign up doesn't make it illegal. If he has to take it off, it's not going to do him any good if he needs it. Mine stays with me at all times, unless I visit a place where it's legally prohibited.

That is correct. The new bill also mentions airports, if I'm not mistaken. It's already legal to carry in an airport.. You can carry in the parking area, pickup/drop off area, and the ticketing areas... The only place at an airport that a weapon is not allowed is past the security screening area. As far as a bar, they are striking out the "with the owners permission" clause. This is really meaningless to do this. It's private property and the owner has the right to deny you access to his property (the bar) if you have a firearm. If you carry concealed and he doesn't know it,

Yep, I have been CPR certified since 1987. I've performed it 3 times in all those years and yes it's VERY exhausting. What is really surprising is just how short the amount of time it takes you to get exhausted. It's really not that long. I don't carry a bag, but I carry 3 or 4 mouth to mouth barriers (with check valve) in my kit that I keep in my truck. When thinking about what you are doing, it just doesn't seem like it would be exhausting to do CPR, but it will flat wear you out... The only thing I hate about being CPR certified is that I wish they would make up their mind ab

That's only true with first and emergency responders, even then, they are only required to continue until exhausted. If they are physically exhausted and can't continue safely, they too can stop. Otherwise, the only time they can stop is when directed by a physician. An average citizen is not held to that standard, they can quit anytime they desire.
-
First, I really don't think there are enough facts out for anyone not directly involved to understand what happened and whether or not the person was justified or not. With that said, my opinion on the DNR orders, etc.. If I run in to someone who nees CRP and I have the ability to give it to them and possibly save their life, I will. I believe DNR's need a little common sense applied. If granny is on her deathbed and it's well known that her time is limited, I think a DNR should be respected and honored. However, if I am at a restaurant eating dinner and a 50 year old man

Yep, you're right. I installed, setup, and configured the one the Paulding County Sheriff's office had and used for about year (which is the same unit Hiram is running), and worked quite closely with the HEAT unit officer whose care it was intalled. So yeah, you're probably right; I don't know a damn thing about it... If by "retains" meaning, it takes a pictures and stores it while it performs OCR and compares against a database, then yes, it does. By a normal persons definition, it doesn't not retain the information. The image is captured and put on the screen. The screen can

It doesn't save any information. It reads the license plate and runs the license plate against a database of known stolens and out of registration vehicles. It if gets a return of either, it notifies the police officer that the vehicle is wanted as stolen or has no valid registration. It's not infringing on anything. It doesn't give any officer any information about your whereabouts, GPS position, or anything else. It's no different than the police officer punching your tag in to his computer and running it, other than it's an automated process now and it can do it as they

Understanding how the airlines operate would give you an idea as to why they are packed like sardines. It has nothing to do with the air travel market increasing. It has more to do with it DECREASING. Airlines don't fly half empty planes anymore. They pull fights and reduce the flight schedule. Where they would normally be flying back and forth to a particular destination several times a day, now they fly once or twice. Reduce the number of flights going to a destination, you have to pack the plane more. Wonder why the fuel surcharges, paying for headphones, and paying for ch

+1 A Maaco paint job is a decent paint job *IF* and ONLY IF YOU spend them time to do ALL the prep work. If you get the $299 paint job, literally all they do is mask off the car (and not real well), they do a "chemical sand" on it (which is basically running a paint thinner soaked rag over it), and they spray it. That's it. No prep sanding, no clear coat, and no color sanding. It will last about 2-3 years and it will start flaking off... If you prep the vehicle, sand it, and get it paint ready where all they have to do is literally spray it, you can get a decent job..

I think #2 is not what you think it is... it has nothing to do with a slingshot, the weapon. Search "Urban Dictionary" and then type in "Alabama Slingshot." I will warn you ahead of time... be prepared for a pretty vulgar description of a sexual act. -

I guess what I am not really understanding is the need for this law? There's already a law that states slower traffic must keep right. We went to Alaska a few years ago and I really liked their idea. If there are more than 5 years behind you, you are required to move over and let them pass. They have signs every so often that remind of this... and they even have pullouts along the road for you to do so... and people actually pull over. -

Bologna! The recklessness and inability of the driver, no matter what speed, is what causes crashes, not the speed the vehicle is traveling. There are plenty of people who drive WAY too fast. People *THINK* they can handle their vehicles at the excessive speeds they drive. They *THINK* they are good drivers and can handle their vehicles in an emergency. I'll be happy to take anyone who thinks so to the track and prove otherwise to them. Vehicles today are much quieter and smoother riding than they have ever been and it gives a false sense of feeling as to how fast 80 and 90 m
