  1. Please do! Also, Sage, I work with customers on personal blends if requested.
  2. I received it yesterday... the FO... and WOW! It's a coconut like Pina Colada coconut! It puts me right on the beach when I smell it... it's creamy, coconuty, with a hint of maybe pineapple juiciness toss in!!! YUMMY!!!!!!! I'm in love with all the new scents..... they are AWESOME! Can't wait to start soaping them this next week. Woo-hoo! And new juicy, luscious lip-balm flavors too.
  3. Greetings from S. Georgia! Beginning this coming week, I'll be in full production mode for the holidays. On top of the scents I normally carry, I'll be adding these new ones to the mix: ~ Citrus Bliss: The base of this soap is Yuzu, which is a Japanese Grapefruit, and it has a very strong and bright fragrance. Unlike regular grapefruit, Yuzu is a hybrid of grapefruit and mandarin, so it's got additional perfume notes. But not just mandarin or tangerine, it's got a grapefruit blossom top note. This soap will feature cranberry seeds too! Lovely! ~ Twisted Clean: This fragrance is aw
  4. I thought I'd post here our newly updated "About Me" section for our Commerce Membership. ------------------------- In Granny's Footsteps is a cottage based business located in SE Georgia, with strong roots in the Paulding County area. We are still property owners in the area, and strong supporters of Paulding.com. We spent over 20 years as residents, and have family and many friends still in the area. IGF was founded as an official business in October of 2006. Before that, IGF existed as the passion and handicraft of our soap artisan, Rebecca Stanford. She has been making soap for
  5. IGF's soaps were recently featured in a fellow artist/crafter's blog, and I couldn't be more flattered, or excited about that. This is an IGF first! Read Shai's Creations July 4th blog: http://mamashaiscreations.blogspot.com/ I believe in supporting fellow crafters and artisans. I love the art.craft community, having come out of the fine arts community education wise. It's a lot of fun to chat and share ideas, and to see what other amazing things creative folks are coming up with. Shai makes all sorts of things, from the cutest bows to tutu dresses that lil'girls will adore! I hav
  6. I just received another testimonial about my Granny's Pine Tar Soap, and I couldn't be more pleased. It really means a lot to me when people benefit from my products. I thought I'd share it here as well as on my website: "I developed rosacea after I had shingles this past year and it totally changed my complexion. The shingles were on the left side of my face and this area was the most affected by the rosacea. My dermatologist gave me a couple medicines and they helped a little bit but I decided to try your Pine Tar Soap and it was the best thing I ever did! It cleared it up almost
  7. Nope, we're not in the new house yet, nor our studio.... BUT I do have the store back open. I've got a few more pics to get uploaded and descriptions added, but it is "open". I'm sure inventory will fluctuate some as we're working on a "skeleton studio" versus our mondo one when it's built. Just have patience... the new studio IS coming.... and we promise to be bigger, and better than ever! Thanks again for everyone's continued support back in Paulding County. Miss you guys!
  8. I thought I'd take a minute and post that our move is complete! Well, at least we've moved to Waycross, and settled in somewhat. It's a start. The next phase will be the building of our new home, and my new soap studio! Hopefully by the end of summer, we'll have our new "Green-Home" [earth friendly, passive solar, energy efficient] completed, along with IGF's new "green" studio. I can't tell you how excited I am about this and getting my business back up and running down here. I've already got so many repeat customers ringing me up, several stores wanting products, and two major festi
  9. Aww, would be great to see you both too!!! Maybe we can make that happen. And if not, we'll shoot for October!
  10. Well, it's been over a month since I soaped anything. I think I was beginning to go through withdrawals! Now that I've fully recovered from surgery, I thought today would be a perfect day to soap. SOOOoo, today, in the soap pot we had: ~ A test batch of my new "Save Face" soap, designed for people with skin that tends to be slightly oily, or has break-outs. This soap features cosmetic grade French Pink Clay, collodial oatmeal, honey, and the essential oils of Tea-Tree, Lavender, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus. :::: fingers crossed on this one :::: If this batch passes the tes
  11. Yes, I surely did. I delivered a "Howdy" to her from several P.commers.
  12. We enjoyed our short break, a mini-vacation if you will, down to S. GA. It was great to spend some time with family on "home turf". I'll be having surgery this coming Monday, so I'll have IGF "closed" for the week. Thanks for all the well wishes and support.
  13. IGF is out of town for a few days, on a much needed break. We will be back and processing orders on August 7, 2007. "Soapy" is having surgery August 13th, and the store will be closed for a few days following. Thank you for your support!
  14. When I'm not working on standard stocked soaps/products, I'm researching, formulating, or maybe even out wildcrafting herbs. Right now I'm harvesting wild-mullein from the sides of country roads. You may see it growing somewhere in Paulding County -- if you do, PM me with where you saw it! These are things that I learned about that my Grandmother Mary would have done. Fortunately there is quite a bit of herbal information, folklore, etc. that have survived in the south. I so enjoy chatting with other people who have an interest in herbs, plants, trees -- their properties and uses.
  15. Thank you! It's VERY cool!!! I'm really excited about this.
  16. Currently I do not. There may be a possibility in the future. Right now my business keeps me busy!
  17. I sell them on my website: http://www.ingrannysfootsteps.com Thanks for the interest!
  18. Hello Everyone! IGF's soap barn (aka my soap studio) is a hopping place this afternoon. I cut and put on the drying rack and new batch of Bamboo Verbena, and a new scent Dreamcatcher! Cooking in the pot right now is a new batch of Granny's Pine Tar Soap. Tomorrow will find me making lotion and bath-salts for the Family Fun Day this coming Sunday, July 22. The next currently scheduled craft show will be Sept. 29, 2007 at the Second Annual Olde Towne Hiram day, in Hiram. Hope everyone is having a great day!
  19. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the IGF Customers who have shared their personal comments about our products for our website. (Keep them coming!) I really appreciate your continued support, and encouragement. You are simply the best! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Shhh! IGF's got a secret! My soaps are going to be featured very soon as part of the "Cabin Life" Living History Program at the historic Pickett's Mill State Park! I'm so very excited to be asked to have my soaps featured as part of this hand
  20. On days like today is when I love to be out in the Soap-Barn creating new batches of soaps, sugar scrubs, lotions or balms! Hope you have a great day! Carpe Diem!
  21. I have a batch of Fisherman Soap that is on the drying rack. It will be offered for sale soon via my hubby's sportsman website. If you like the smell of licorice, you'll like this soap. It's made with Anise EO which not only covers human scent, but has been used by fisherman for a long time to attract FISH. Some even use this to wash hooks with! I also added a little bit of ground oatmeal to it for a little 'scrubby' action for hands. Perfect to carry in the tackle box, or leave on your boat. More info soon!
  22. A batch of Rosemary Soap, and a batch of Hempy Hippie. Should be ready for sale very soon.
  23. Have added new pics, and products. Inventory updated! http://www.ingrannysfootsteps.com/
