  1. Found this today. I'll still have to verify authenticity, if possible. There is also this Here are some excerpts from the report: Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities have revealed to the Orlando Sentinel. That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities say. Zimmerman has not s
  2. I understood that just fine. You are the one that was stating that the economy HERE in the US was getting better and forcing up demand HERE in the US which forced up our prices. Is that not what you were inferring when you were stating that PIBO was doing a good job with the US economy and that the improved economy was spurring demand here for gasoline. Or did PIBO's actions actually improve the world's economy and spur demand across the world? Come on now... pick one arguement and stick with it. That was your quote was it not? There was no link in this post from you.
  3. Well Dang!!! I even posted an article from the Liberal's own beloved NPR stating that DEMAND is way down to support my thought that Zoo's comments were wrong. And yet you still say it an not a fact? Well DAYUM.... Exactly what is it that I have to produce that you will except as a FACT? Well other than bowing down and stating that your opinion is the correct one and that nothing else matters.
  4. Who said it "justified anything? I was just pointing out that the other side is just as quick to throw insults as anyone else is.
  5. Yes indeed. As amatter of fact, I was regularly called "White Cracker" when I attended Venition Hills Elementary School. TV really was not much to watch back then though. The year we moved there were 4 White kids, counting me, in my class at the beginning of the school year. By the time we moved it was me and 1 other White boy left. So yep, I have definately been on the "minority, degraded and outcast" side of things. They were just as mean to me as anything you can imagine today and it was 1972.
  6. Nice try but demand is WAY down http://www.ssti.us/2...to-2000-levels/ And here is one from your beloved NPR http://www.npr.org/2...ry-for-gasoline "When you look at the U.S. oil market, you see that there's actually no growth," says Daniel Yergin, chairman of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates. He says gasoline demand peaked in 2007 and has fallen each year since, even though the economy has begun to recover. "The U.S. has already reached what we can call 'peak demand.' Because of increased efficiency, because of biofuels, we're not going to see growth in o
  7. I've done a little more thinking on this. It seems to me that gravity, for instance, is a product of the body in question. The bigger and more dense the body the higher the gravitational pull / attraction exerted by that body. So if that is the case and God created said body then that "rule" of physics was a consequence of his actions. Therefore it would seem that creation came before physics. I'll go with that for now.
  8. I was with Georgia Federal in the early 80's. They became First Union, then Wachovia and now Wells Fargo. I have not had any major problems with any of them and they have resolved all the minor issues to my satisfaction. My biggest complaint would be in the brokerage department under Wachovia. We opened up a couple of online trade accounts. Yes they charged purchase fees but no maintenance fees. That changed and we missed the notification and got a surprise $55 fee on one account 1 year and the other the next. They had instituted a "inactivity" fee. If you do not make trades of up to a minimum
  9. I saw this on Yahoo ealier and thought I would post it here. http://shine.yahoo.com/anderson-cooper/boy-allergic-food-203300932.html I know of a few people with this. I have been dealing withit since I was in my early 20's. Dis jr. has been diagnosed with it as well. We do not suffer to the same extent as the boy in the video but we do have to be careful about what and how we eat. Myself, No fish, peanuts / most other tree nuts, most beans (legummes which includes peanuts). He is allergic to lactose. Basically what happens is that while we may not show the typical outward signs of an
  10. Anything that helps him control his anger and to be able to express himself in a positive way is good. I was just being a little flipant with you, trying to keep a positive attitude and a humorous spin on things.
  11. I did paint his room blue. does that help?
  12. Dis jr. came home sick from school today, EARLY. So much for my half day to myself.... He threw up on his bus :bad: So the school called, told me that and that he had a slight fever. 99.3 So I go to pick him up. He seems ok to me but I took him home anyway. We spend some time at home and he says that he is hungry. not much to eat around here at the moment, well that is quick and easy to make and not real sugary or greasy. No bread to be found either. I have some errands to run anyway so we head out for lunch and errands. We had a nice lunch then completed the errands. On the way home he s
  13. I'm a fairly easygoing kind of person. I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt when possible. I encourage my daughter to take care of these issues herself and she has been given the go ahead to slap / punch / kick anyone that deserves it. The caveat being only that they DESERVE it. I will not get angry over ISS for a deserved physical response and make no mistake here, even if they did what you say and she slaps them, school policy dictates that she gets punished as well. I know it is stupid but think the lawyers and liberals for that rule. I would think that a stern verbal response / war
  14. I am not a fan of police involvement at this young of an age. The school system is well aware of the charges that could be filed against the other students. So let's keep this in perspective. 1. Improper touching is at the very least Simple Battery. It sounds a lot worse than it is. If someone just lays a hand on your shoulder it COULD be SB. But then there is the whole intent thing to contend with. 2. The school system is aware of all these laws even if it sometimes needs to be reminded. 3. If it was John yesterday but Jim today it is kind of hard to prove an ongoing case with multiple partie
  15. That is a truly conservative approach to it. I believe the same as you to a point. But there will always be another side where there would be a much better use for the property of which the owner just does not want to give it up. They should have that right to a point. When you consider almost everyone has a price. There are usually options to all cases. But SOMETIMES, after all options are weighed and all parties are identified the best and least burdensome scenario may be derailed by just 1 person that say owns 1/2 acre out of several hundred just will not relent. The need is just and not ju
  16. It was more or less a rhetorical question. But for your info I got the following for you. From Wikki So everything that is man made is subject to damage or breakdown due to human error, malfunction and downright malicious behavior. It would seem though, that the last is by far the worst danger to it. And another site reported that all of the top 10 spills occured before 1990. So I believe we have come a long way. As far as spills go, they happen every day on all our highways and probably in far greater amounts. I have personally worked a spill at the tank f
  17. Back in the day, I would pull over any Honda tooling around Algood Mobile home park that had 2 white teens or 20 somethings in it just for their skin color. You do not hear about "profiling" when that happens. But then again "my training and experience" indicate that there is virtually ZERO probability that these folks are in here for any other reason than to buy drugs. The same applies for many other circumstances. Heck I even got pulled over in the same general area (because I was assigned to the local fire station there) when I had to drive my back up car to work. Sure it was old and looked
  18. Do you want to discuss the recent Supreme Court decision AGAINST the EPA for forcing a couple to stop construction of a home on the land they owned because the EPA insisted it was a "wetland". And it WAS NEVER A WET LAND. The EPA threatened all sorts of fines and such. Held them up for 4 years. Most folks do not have the resources for this fight. The EPA just happened to run up on one that did and was willing to fight. The SCOTUS ruled against the EPA with a UNANIMOUS vote. That says a lot. There are issues on both sides of this. Imminent Domain is a valid law. When it is abused it
  19. There IS a COMPREHENSIVE MULTI YEAR STUDY and an APPROVAL already in place. They CHOSE to shoot it down anyway. WHY? Because PIBO can not afford to piss off NOT A SINGLE VOTER. and that includes all of the tree huggers and environmentalists out there. How many years has the Alaskan Pipeline been up and running now and how many spills have been caused from it? Hmmmm. We are waiting.
  20. Wouldn't surprise me to see Holder get involved in a meaningful way... unlike his obstruction of justice in the Black Panther case.
  21. All reports I have found said it was one man. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/trucking-accidents/171370-dashcam-suv-obliterated-semi-truck-after.html If you go to post # 5 there is an explanation.
  22. You wanna borrow mine for a week to affirm that thought? :pardon: where is the begging Emoticon
  23. He got hold of a stick lighter. We have never left them out so they would be easy to get or play with but we have never had to hide them before either. This started out of the blue. 3 days in a row and not again since. Fire safety has been discussed at home and the truly ironic part of this is that while they were out on winter break I took him to the Safety Village to sit in with my class there for the day. It is almost as if the class gave him the idea. But the last time he had his Star Wars figures out and he was "trying to give them battle damage". He "colors" on many of his toys to give t
  24. I was not "classifying" you in any way. That is why my post was phrased in questions for clarification. But it was meant to show you how your comment came across.
  25. I found the following video. It has the burned boy in it but does not show his face. Ironically from THE BLAZE http://www.theblaze.com/stories/you-get-what-you-deserve-white-boy-13-year-old-set-on-fire-in-horrific-racially-charged-attack/
