With my kids at the Cloister.
I am at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas relaxing on the beach with a cold drink after a long night at the slot machines where I won LOTS of money! -
I did. I read it on the internet and you have to believe everything you read, don't you?
See, someone else heard it! -
Hey, I haven't paid Pubby anything!
I didn't realize we were partying in here. I thought we were trying to have a thoughtful discussion. Silly me.
progressive secularist, this is who and what you have to put up with here in the "religous" forum. they have no morals, no shame! anything goes as long as it doesn't interrupt their party.this is a forum about religion and it is always over run with jerks who just want to start trouble.
if you think pubby will do anything about it? your wrong! it's good business for him to allow these progressive secularist to bash christianity.
you know, all about money!

don't tell the homophobes but doesn't he swing the other way?
Me too. With little Kenny Chesney -
One and the same.
Was this THE Sara Ragdsale, that taught at the old Hiram High School back in the 60's?If so, she was well on up there in age. That Sara Ragsdale was elderly then....
In any case, my condolences for Mike and the family. Prayers are being said for them right now.

She was my teacher in high school and I adore her.
My family asked me to share this information with you.thanks,

Dear Friends,
Mike's mother, Sara Ragsdale, died a peaceful death last evening with family gathered close to her. As many of you know, she has been very ill for the past month. She was truly blessed in that she had very little pain during her six month ordeal since she was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer. Shortly after that diagnosis, she experienced the death of her son.
She was fairly active until the first week of January. Since then, she has been pretty much bedj-ridden and on Hospice. Michelle and I had the night shift 9PM to 9 AM the past three nights and were prepared to stay again last night. We knew that her time was close. She remained alert and oriented, refusing any pain medication up until the end. She actually denied pain until late Sunday when she accepted a small dose of Morphine. Shortly thereafter, while we were at church, I received a call (phone on vibrate) from my brother and sisters-in-law who were staying with her during the day. I was told that Sara suddenly became fretful and said "start the music" over and over. They scurried around to find a radio/tape player and put on some music. She was not satisfied until they put in a CD of gospel music. I could hear it playing in the background as I got the report.
We got back to the house in a few minutes and she seemed quite content as I rubbed her back and she listened to the beautiful and appropriate music that one frequently hears at funerals. We all had a chance to say a final goodbye as she drifted away.
Please keep us in your prayers this week. Her body is at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Watson Drive in Dallas.
Visitation starts at 12 Noon until 9 PM on Tuesday, Feb 7.
The funeral is Wednesday (Feb at the First United Methodist Church in Dallas. (The information for these locations are shown below.)
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society, or the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, or to the American Heart Association.
Sara was an educator and taught school in Paulding County for 41 years. She and Mike's Dad had four boys, Mike being the oldest. She was a very influential person and role model to her students and to her family. In fact, there are 13 school teachers in her immediate family (children, grandchildren and their spouses). Two of them are my daughters. Sara was very active in professional organizations, served as Beta Club Sponsor for many years, was Past President in both Delta Kappa Gamma and the Paulding Chapter of the Georgia Retired Educators Association. She was active in her church, including UMW. She served the community on the Paulding County Board of Equalization for nearly 20 years.
She was a world traveler and took her seven grandchildren on very educational trips and petted all of them throughout their lives. She loved God, her family and her community. She loved her daughter-in-laws like the daughters she never had. We will all miss her greatly. Please let others know.
We were too late to meet the deadline to get her obituary in the Dallas New Era this week.

Wow, I would have never thought you would be a member of the welcoming-of-all-lifestyles committee! You are branching out!
Not to be rude, its just that Cecily79's comment didn't mention your daughter at all. I'm sure she's a lovely girl. But people can disagree with a person's lifestyle and not be rude to the participant. Heck, there's many right here on this board that don't appreciate MY lifestyle, but that's OK. There's room for everyone here, right? -
Not so fast on the no commercials! They have started!!
I have and I love it. Even my children love it. I hate to turn it off at night.Commercial free too.

It's the playground thing: My God can beat up your God.
What do you hope to achieve with a thread such as this? Seems to me the only thing it MIGHT do is create more hatred and fear in the world. Isn't there enough already? -
Maybe gay=funny in his mind!
Our boss went to see it over the weekend. He thought it was great. He said it's not a gay movie. It's just a movie about two men that fall in love with each other and then have sex together. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck......
-
Maybe we can get the witch teachers from the other thread to cast a spell on them.
-
Well, I did. I had enough and did leave for a little. My mood is better but it is still the same crap that is regurgitated over and over again. I had never gotten into pvoice and I don't care for the crowd on the highway. What is a girl to do?!
Then that would be the time to "take some time off", wouldn't you say? -
I don't know. Maybe it just gets too much sometimes.
Then why don't they just ignore what they don't like, as you say that you do?I do alot of "looking the other way"
-
You are not the "some people!"
I don't think people are idiots because they don't think like I do. I think that it's pure arrogance to do so. -
Because it is the best place to get local news and gossip! I don't like all the right-wing rhetoric on here but I simply ignore it or engage it depending on my mood. What some people on here don't realize it that people are different and think different and those different people are in Paulding but it is okay to be different. We all don't need to walk to the beat of the same drum.
So, is it acceptable to ask why, if they are so displeased, do they visit p.com? -
I didn't twist the truth - you did.
------------I stand by my statements of facts and will continue to do so. Besides you twisting the truth is absurd. Furthermore, it has been estimated that approx. 15% of the Muslim population is of the hardcore brand which equals to about 100 million plus. Not exactly a small group of people.
If it is only the extremists, there where are the calls of peace from the moderates, CAIR and other organizations, Huh? Again, Islam is a dangerous, false religion and if the truth hurts, tough. Truth always hurts and has been tested time and time again.
-
There you go. I cropped everything out that needed to be and just left all the info regarding Muslim extremists. They are not the majority of the Muslim faith. It is sort of like the evangelicals speaking for all Christians....
==============Muslim extremists raided the farm over night in Patikul township
The gunmen appeared to be from the Abu Sayyaf (Bearers of the Sword) Group, a Muslim extremist organisation believed to be al-Qaeda-linked.
Jolo is a well-known hotbed of Islamic extremism,
infiltration by foreign extremist cells. The government knows about it and for this reason it is always changing entry rules for missionaries, the local source noted. “In several cases, Muslim extremists disguised as Muslim missionaries successfully entered the country
-
I agree. There is no "truth" to it.
I think the Koran would be a more accurate source of information regarding Islam than a website run by someone who won't even claim authorship. That site (to me) is right up there w/your other "truth"

Do the bikes have tags? If not, you can call the Sheriff's Department because they are not street legal. We had the same problem with kids riding up and down the street. We called and took care of the problem.
-
What if you take comfort in both?
Some people take comfort in prayers, some people take comfort in pills. -
I support the ACLU because I support the First Amendment.
I would like for you to back up your posts with facts.
-----------There are many groups such as ACLU that want to banish anything that is Christian.
For those of you who support the ACLU, you are supporting an organization that supports communism and that is a fact, not an opinion. All one has to do is read about its founder. But if one does not stand up, we would not even be allowed to post on this site of our Christian expression and never think it cannot happen.

How many bus accidents have happened since August?
My frustration is with the amount of bus accidents I have heard of since my child started school in August, and I find it deplorable. -
Hey, how do you think the Pagans feel about Christians teaching their children?!?! God forbid is someone has a different religious background! That can't be tolerated in Paulding County!
Soap mom told me in an earlier post that there are sevral Pagans teaching our kids in the P.C. school system. And they are out in the open the school board knows about it. Am I the only one this bothers. They have the right to send their soul to Hell if they want. But I for one don't want them influnceing my children. Is there any thing any one Know that we can do??????????Please tell me does this bother you??

I'm Methodist. But, what if I was? Would you hunt me down with pitchforks and stone me?
