How could someone do this. F***ing scumbags. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/local-dog-found-stabbed-face-henry-county/ndDdW/

I don't know if this will help you and your situation, but it may help others who have drug and/or alcohol addicted parents. The only thing Hoffman's death is shed light on this terrible problem. My link

Reproduction roulette ... if you had a devastating genetic disease ...

I have a friend who has a history of Cystic Fibrosis in his family and before he and his wife had children, they went for genetic counseling. I think it makes sense. -
Try Al-Anon or Adult Children of Alcoholics.

After seeing this, I think it may have been a suicide. http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/03/showbiz/philip-seymour-hoffman-death/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

With her attitude, she may never get sober, even if she is drug-free. People in 12 step programs call it dry but not sober. You may have to walk away from a situation like this to preserve your own health and that's o.k.

For many years, I was angry at my father for being an alcoholic. A few years ago, he explained why he would go on benders and not come home home. He said he'd start drinking and be so ashamed to come home and face my mother and me, he would say screw it and keep drinking and it was a never ending cycle. Before he sought help and got sober, he said he contemplated suicide. I always thought nothing bothered my father but that's not true; he said he had to learn to forgive himself for what he did, or he would be unable to go on. I know these things were hard for him to admit and at this point, I

After the last 5 years of my wife's illness and other events on top of that, I can see why people could fall apart. Each day can be a struggle to just get out of bed and to pretend there is a semblance of normalcy is all you can muster. Hoffman had the disease of addiction and for 23 years, he kept it at bay. I don't think he wanted to be a junkie; he returned to rehab to get clean. I wonder if this was a suicide.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

You have the right to confront a parent if they are hurting you or their addiction is hurting you. I grew up with an alcoholic father who cheated on my mother. Although my father stopped drinking, the cheating didn't and it left my mother with issues she took out on me. As an adult, I finally had to call her out on the way she was treating me; telling her I had a right to be happy and I wasn't the person who hurt her. I went to some Adult Children of Alcoholics meetings and began to understand how people react to the addict and the damage it does to other family members. My wife had to learn t

It was interesting to see Joe Namath's fur coat. What is the dead animal on his head and did PETA protest?

He left behind 3 children. He kicked heroin addiction for 23 years and recently relapsed and sought treatment, so I don't think he enjoyed being an addict. 46 is too young to die.

If I was Amanda Knox, I wouldn't even eat spaghetti. Hasn't this woman and former boyfriend been through enough.

Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will bless us with their acting talents in Sharknado 2. Aren't we lucky. http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=850083

I ordered a snow shovel today. I may not use it again, but I'll be prepared just in case.

I saw this on CNN and thought it was interesting. http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/30/us/atlanta-ice-how-it-happened/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

I remember my poli sci 101 class many years ago and the professor defined politics as the allocation of resources. Governor Deal could have ordered all schools closed and non-essential businesses be closed. Georgia has limited resources for snow removal and the best way to use those resources would have been to keep the roads clear, so as many roads could have been cleared as possible. During the night before the storm, the forecast kept changing and snow chances kept increasing. The governor dropped the ball and since our state is ill-equipped to handle a snowstorm that comes infrequently, th

I'm from the north and when it's icy like this you can't do anything. -
I'm glad PCSD is ahead of the curve.

Around 1 p.m., I was driving north on Dallas-Acworth Hwy. just past Rodney's and traffic was backed up because people couldn't get up the hill by Mt. Tabor and Frey Road. I was forced to turn around. I can't imagine what it's like now; I know how to drive in the snow but ice is a different story. People need to stay off the roads. Btw., it was a bad move for the districts who tried to have school today.

Uncle Sugar? Is that what Huckabee calls himself when he visits the NAMBLA website?

I saw the title and thought it was a meth lab.

For pointing out the facts? You are the mindless partisan.

Why did Huckabee sign a mandate for birth control coverage as governor of Arkansas? My link
