The recession may be ending for those working with Goldman-Sachs, but everyone else is struggling. I don't take much stock in T.V. news reporters saying the economy is good.

I will say that fresh out of college Vick would have made a pretty good tailback if he could have been taught to lower his shoulder and punish tacklers. As for a quarterback, he has the physical ability, a great arm, he just isn't properly equipped between his ears. That weakness will dog him for the rest of his career.

I totally agree. Many of my students receive free or reduced school meals and many are overweight, if not obese. It's sad and I've never seen such overweight and out of shape kids in my life. I worry about their health as adults.

How about all the high fructose corn syrup added to foods? Have you ever seen what schools serve kids for lunch and breakfast? As a teacher, I used to eat school breakfast and lunch on a regular basis. I ballooned to 260, but once I decided to stop eating school food, my weight started to drop. I made a few other changes, started eating fruit and vegetables, limited red meat, and ate more fish and chicken. I've dropped close to 50 lbs and feel great. I haven't had a cold in over a year. However, it costs money to eat healthier, but the trade off is less visits to the doctor and less time misse

Exactly. The true goal of politicians who want private schools and vouchers is to eliminate public education, knowing damn well most cannot afford it. Keep the populace uneducated and uninformed makes it easier to control them. Our jobs are being sold overseas, so why not eliminate education as well.
