I found a baby bat today and in looking for help I ran across an amazing group of people. A volunteer organization that takes injured or abandoned animals and places them in licensed rehabilitation facilities. I spoke with the owner, Chet Powell, and he'd taken over 60 calls in our area today alone. They have volunteers everywhere, but don't have any in the Paulding County area! He offers an online course in Basic Emergency Care & Procedure for Injured/Orphaned Wildlife. It is part-time and many of his current volunteers have careers and volunteer on their time off. Check out his website .

Hey Sunny.....could you rub some oil on Grandma's back? -
I'm taking classes at Jacksonville State University in AL. Paulding county residents qualify for in-state tuition.

Thank you. I'll look them up -
We take our recycling to the recycling center every week. I'd like to find a trash service that offers recycling. I've not had much luck googling it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I bet I've owned every brand.....Kirby, Dirt Devil, Electrolux, Eureka, Hoover...but I've found my Dyson and I'm finally satisfied. My mother bought a Miele and swears it's the best, but I can't afford that one

We take the kids out on the weekends to search for geocache. I think we've just about found all the local treasure...I guess we need to expand our search now. Our plan is to wait until summer, and put our own geocache out at Lake Allatoona.

OK...in defense of the person that made the sign... She thought she was helping out. It seems that she got several phone calls from other moms, who felt that Halloween should be on Saturday...some even requested that she make a sign and post it at the entrance. I understand that people were upset about the sign because their opinions weren't counted (mine wasn't either) but the fact is that this person didn't set out to upset anyone. She's a really sweet person, who spent hours painting a sign at someone elses request. She thought she was helping. Halloween was a great success in Camberle

I'm in Camberley Park and if someone comes by asking for candy tonight....they won't be getting any.

I've partied with Tracy Lawrence (he's a friend of a friend)

Did an official from the Ronald McDonald House tell you that doing this would get you (or them) funding? The tops on the cans are just as aluminum as the rest of the can, nothing special, It would take a truck load to be of any worthwhile value. I'm just saying, this scam has gone on before, I would check.

The recycling station at the county transfer (seven hills area) will take #1 & #2 plastic.

Did the doctor talk to you about bubble baths? Baths are a common cause of UTI's. Also...with her age...is she independent in the bathroom? Does she know about wiping front to back?

So does Best Buy

Best Buy will take small electronics for recycling for free.

I wonder what they would do if I just dropped my kids off at the front door in the morning?

I butterfly it, brown it quickly in oil, cook bacon and onions, pile it on top, roll it up, and tie it with butchers string, bake it, and then slice it.

To the neighbor whose dog keeps crapping on my front lawn...
Olive Oyl replied to a topic in RECENT TOPICS
I finally caught my neighbor letting her dog go in my yard, so I asked her nicely to pick it up, when she refused, I got a shovel and followed her home....I left it at the end of her driveway and told her that is where she'd find any other pile that I found in my yard. I've never found another pile. -
