What movie would you never watch again?
marvinthemartian replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The absolute worst movie ever created: Speed Racer. I took my son to see it and it was awful. What made it worse was that it went on and on forever. Its probably still playing somewhere. Every time I thought it was over they would go off on another tangent for another 30 minutes. Awful. -
Hello fellow Pcommers, My washer and dryer are about 14 years old and are on their last legs. They are both Kenmores and they have given good service. However, now I need to replace both of them. As I haven't been in the market for these appliances in 14 years, I need some advice from some of you who have recently made similar purchases. Here are my questions: What brands have you had good experiences with? What brands would you avoid and stay away from? What features have you found to be really helpful and good to have? What features are overkill and not needed? Where

Do You Think This Is A Hate Crime or Not?

This is why my gun carries 15 rounds of hollow points. In that situation I may have ended up getting killed with my own gun. However, they would have killed me with it by beating me to death with it because it would be EMPTY. -
A little brawl at the Commissioners meeting last Night
marvinthemartian replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
"We need to PASS the bill so we can see what's IN the bill." That has worked out pretty well hasnt it? In all seriousness, and this is not a partisan jab as I would have said the same thing if a Republican had said it, but seriously that was the most ignorant political quote I have ever heard. On a related note, i just wrote a very long run-on sentence lol. -

I bought a computer about a year ago and really haven't used it much but that is about to change. I now need to buy some type of Microsoft Office Suite product that will include Word, Excel, Power Point etc so I can install it on the computer. What I need are suggestions on what I should get, where I should get it and approximately what I should expect to pay for it. I am not a techie and I don't really keep up with all the new products that are available. Any suggestions?

Just curious. If personal/individual choice is a constitutional right and a good thing for women when they choose to terminate a pregnancy based on their personal values then why isnt personal/individual choice also a constitutional right and a good thing for a closely held and owned company when they choose to make health care/insurance decisions based on their own personal values?

4 in 10 Americans believe the Earth is 10,000 years old.
marvinthemartian replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
First of all, I dont know if the earth is 10,000 years old or 10,000,000,000 years old and honestly I dont care one bit either way. As a Christian, if you believe in Creationism, then it is logical to believe that when God created things, He created them fully developed. In other words, mountains were mountains and not hills, trees were trees and not twigs, oceans were oceans and not puddles etc. the entire Christian belief is based on faith which is defined scripturally as believing what God says even if it means doing so sight unseen. From a Christian perspective, it is fairly simple -

I Have Always Kept My Gun In My Car, Or Truck,
marvinthemartian replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree that it makes me a bit uneasy when I see someone carrying openly although I realize they have every right to do so. I carry almost always but it is never exposed and nobody ever knows I have it. I have several reasons for this: I realize that some people are uncomfortable around guns, so out of respect for them, although it is on my person, it is out of sight. If I was the bad guy in a situation, the first person I would shoot would be the person who I thought was most likely to be able to harm me. In this case, it would be the person who is carrying openly. I would shoot hi -
Good afternoon, I have an oak tree that snapped during the ice storm fifteen to twenty feet up. I have everything else cut up and moved already. What i need is someone to cut down the fifteen to twenty feet tall remainder of the tree that is still in the ground and then grind the stump low enough to where i can plant something there. The tree is probably eight feet in diameter. If anyone knows someone who is reliable, safe, insured and will do it for a reasonable price, please let me know. Thank you.

There is no RIGHT to affordable healthcare in the Constitution. Sorry, but its not there. And are you in fact threatening anyone such as myself with a gun who would disagree with the entire concept of Obamacare from both a logical and constitutional standpoint and who would speak to that policy disagreement in a civil way while trying to get it ovetrurned in a legal process clearly outlined in the Constitution? I would suggest that you re-evaluate your threatening stance on what is clearly an unConstitutional idea as I try to express my displeasure in a clearly legal and Constitutional metho
