  1. I would not want to eat somewhere I could not wash my hands first, but that is just me. Honestly everywhere I have looked (Douglas county has advised the following also) has said not to bath and wash your hands in the water unless it has been boiled and cooled first. Who knows what is in it? Sewage? YUCK!
  2. Georgia Food Service code applies. You can not wash your hands in contaminated (boil advisory) water. I understand that. If they wash their hands in it then touch food, utensils, etc... If they have a source of fresh water they can remain open.
  3. Didn't our governor do that yesterday afternoon?
  4. Pumpkinvine was open all day yesterday and as of 6 am this morning. Just in case anyone needs to go that way.
  5. Yesterday afternoon Friendship Church was closed going towards High Point. Oops just saw where it was posted it did work this morning.
  6. THANK YOU!!!! I had completely forgot about that with everything going on. I now have a two hour escape.
  7. Thanks. I pray they are ok. I would really like to know also. Where?? Oh my..this is just so unbelievable!
  8. Thank you so much to all the people that have been keeping us up to date with what is going on. I appreciate you doing this! There have been so many people trapped on cars. Have I missed if the teens have been rescued? What about the lady at Laird? So much to keep up with. Prayers to everyone in Paulding tonight.
  9. Not sure of nebo/ridge but the Kroger is okay, no flooding.
  10. All of Bakers Bridge and a lot of Ridge is Douglasville. Do you think that could be it?
  11. Correct. http://www.southpauldingtouchdownclub.com/
  12. My DD has used the Rosetta Stone programs. She fluently speaks 3 languages.
  13. I wasn't being defensive, really. The original OP has one and then the persons post I responded to basically said you needed more to complete a family, relationships, etc. It just came off as you are wrong to have one, (a lonely world for a single child, parents gone....bleak) not exactly nice when the OP just has the one. Pros and cons are different then you are wrong. I stated it is a personal choice and really between the husband and wife. ( There are 5 of us....big families have issues too! LOL) Quit! LOL... I guess I should have stuck around last
  14. What about people that can only have one? Nice picture you just painted. One of my closest friends is an only child. She is loved and adored by all her cousins. (well, actually everyone I know. ) She does have them to reminisce with. She has lost both her parents, but has wonderful memories of all the places U.S. and abroad they were able to take her to. She might not have had some of those experiences with having other siblings. (cost, feasibility of taking more then one) I think it is a personal decision, based on what you and your spouse want. Either way, only child or not, I am
  15. Mike And The Mechanics - Living Years This one kills me...
  16. SoapMom, I would be very interested to know what are you doing to help beef up your immunity and what homeopathic remedies you will use if you do get sick. I am not big on shots and "new, rushed" vaccinations, yet I do want my family and I to avoid the flu. Thanks, Bella Hand washing is already fanatical here!
  17. Thanks! Looks like this will be a good time. I have some younger nieces and nephews visiting and was trying to decide what to do....found it!
  18. Awesome! How much were ride tickets? Is there a charge to get in? TIA
  19. Wow. They need to send out something then to instruct attendance clerks on that amended policy. This is a good thing if true! Thanks CE for answering what AYP is.
  20. Who told you that? Attendance is tied into AYP. I think they need to throw it out a window...otherwise parents will be sending their kids in sick like every year and just waiting for the nurse to call. In the meantime little Johnny or Susie has spread their germs to who knows how many others. It is a ridiculous policy based on a few bad apples that ruined it for the bunch of us.
  21. I have every book by all the authors you listed. Stuart Woods is great. You would like his books.
  22. I have never heard of shank used as to pull down someones pants. (I need a shoulder shrugging smiley!) Shank.. a shiv...a sharp pointed object, like a knife or knife itself. Shanked.. to stab If I heard a student tell another they were going to "shank them" they would definitely be in the office.
  23. No problem..I was a bit obsessed with her as a child I knew right away who it was!
