  1. Sorry. I thought the boy that was okay said he was driving. (It was a bit chaotic when I heard)
  2. WOW!! A 10 year old did that...amazing! That is an awful lot of cake to eat! ha ha ha ha

    why?

Exactly. You know when Halloween comes around the same old questions will start on when do the kids trick or treat. It is crazy!
  4. I haven't heard of any others. The boy driving the car of the fatality (CBW) is fine.
  5. What do you mean ? Thanks for the laugh first thing this morning!
  6. I wish I could help you! I am terrible at figuring that stuff out. Someone will see this and they will know....we have a lot of people that post all different stuff all the time.
  7. Same here. I am at the point of wondering if anyone will ever know.
  8. Thank you for posting that! I knew that most did not use crisco, but a lot of decorators did and I could not for the life of me think of the reason! The white!!! LOL.
  9. LOL! That is great that your 10 year old is that talented! Maybe someone can tell you how to post a picture. I would love to see it!
  10. Okay this whole thread had me until I got to the face part and now I am LMAO. Please continue.........
  11. Yes it is firm enough for piping. I am not sure about the flowers, I have never made them. (I do not have that kind of talent!) It does not get hard like a royal icing would, but I am guessing you could add a teaspoon or two of meringue powder to the butter cream recipe and firm it up further.
  12. Husband has to have wrinkle free clothes and I had my fingers crossed it would actually help out and save me time. Luckily it does work exactly like it should. (That would have been an expensive mistake if it didn't ) For myself it is mostly just pants that get wrinkled in the closet I freshen and my sweaters, but it has saved us a fortune with sending out husbands clothes!
  13. Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar 3 tablespoons cocoa 1/4 cup butter 2 tablespoons heavy cream splash of vanilla Directions: In a mixing bowl, cream confectioners' sugar, cocoa, and butter. Beat in heavy cream and vanilla. Add small amounts hot water or hot black coffee until desired spreading consistency is reached. This one is loved. I do add the hot black coffee to thin it and add a little extra to it.
  14. Buttercream Frosting Ingredients: 2/3 cup butter -- softened 4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 tablespoons cream Directions: In a bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well. Beat in vanilla and enough cream until desired spreading consistency. 1 batch frosts a 2-layer or 13 x 9-inch cake
  15. Okay. I didn't want to come off as "look here see!" Southern Butter Cream Frosting Recipe Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick) 1 box 10X powered sugar (around 3 cups if using a bulk bag) 1 tsp vanilla flavoring 2 to 3 TBS milk Directions: Let the butter/margarine sit out and soften. That makes mixing much easier, and it's also easier to get the correct consistency when adding the milk. If the butter is cold, then it gets too thin as it warms up. If this does happen, just add a little more powdered sugar. Cream the butter and powdered sugar, putting in
  16. I have never made a butter cream frosting with shortening. I could post a bunch also, but no need. I would not say most, but yes some are made with shortening. (Not one in any of my cookbooks, though, isn't that odd? )
  17. I buy the rediwhip sometimes especially to take with me! Those do not last long with teens in the house. They also like to just squiet it in their mouths!! I really don't have the break down of whipped cream issue I know some speak of. Really? LOL, know you know.
  18. Yuck!!! I do not buy pre made frosting either, but then again I do not like frosting. LOL Is it? I read an article once that it was actually more costly to buy it then make real. I am not sure I have never worked it out. I know I only pay a couple of dollars for the cream and it lasts forever. I have no idea how many actually servings i get out of it. (real servings not husband and son servings!!! )
  19. LOL. I have seen that commercial! (see it must have made an impression on me and I did not even realize it!) I don't do whipped cream often, but when I do I will use splenda or davinci syrup to sweeten it.
  20. I am bored, sorry. I just got to thinking about it with 4th of July upon us and all the recipes coming in my e-mail. Cool whip is mostly air, water, corn syrup, and hydrogenated oil. Whipped cream is cream and any sweetener you put in. It takes me all of two minutes to make a batch of whipped cream and put it in the fridge for later use. Why is it that people use something that is so fake when the real thing is so easy to make?
  21. How long had it been in your fridge??!!
  22. I would think that locating an aqua VW bug in a small community would be fairly easy, so with that in mind I would believe that has been checked out. The boy does resemble Kyron.
