  1. Good Post...I just wanted to add one slight disagreement...the christians have historically used equal if not more violence promoting their beliefs (than the muslims). Religion is a disease of the mind... Elimination of All Religion = Better World
  2. I'm disappointed with them too but they seem to be the only outfit in town that picks up a wide variety of recyclables, are there are other in the area?
  3. I'm your huckleberry... But you're the idiot.
  4. Since it's illegal it must be good stuff...gotta try some now.
  5. Google it yourself...leaks in the Trans-Alaskan pipeline are not uncommon. I'm not trying to say that the pipeline is a bad idea, but it will not change the fact that there is a finite amount of oil on this planet and the global market drives the bulk of the price. My point is that the President did not reject the plan just to appease the tree huggers (which I consider myself to be). There were several reasons including the time constraint and the additional legislation in the proposal not related to the pipeline that the Republicans knew he disagreed with. I believe the Republicans set th
  6. I don't think think we can afford not to protect the environment. Your ability to feed your family is certainly important to you but is it really more important than the future health of our shared environment? You and I will be dead in 100 years but our descendants have to deal with what we do today, making the right decisions today for the future health of our planet is our responsibility, even if it costs us a few more dollars at the pump. Either way I don't think this pipeline alone will have a significant effect on gas prices. I'm sure it will eventually be built, so we'll see
  7. Do you believe that proceeding with the pipeline project without a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impact is a good idea?
  8. In July of 2008, just before the election, gas was up to $4.20...only after the election of Mr. Obama did prices start to fall to the very brief low that you describe. It was in part because of his election (and speculators) that prices were driven down to the price you are using to bash him.
  9. Miller Lite was my thing for years, must have consumed a river worth of the stuff and would not drink anything else (except any other Macro-Light beer if I ran out) but today I would rather drink water if Light American Lager is all I have to chose from. The transition to what I now consider the "goof stuff" was not a fast one, after a trip to Germany I started drinking Wheat Ales (Paulaner, Franziskaner, and Hoegarden are good examples to try and still some of my favorites) these are light but with more complex flavor than a light lager, then I moved to Pale Ales (Sierra Nevada, Sweetwater 42
  10. Considering Budweiser is what most Italians think of when they think of American beer I would agree too, they were not referring to the American Micro brews of late. 'Great' Italian beer? I spent roughly a year in Italy and most of the decent stuff was imported, and most Italians I met were not beer drinkers. I will agree with you on the coffee though.
  11. Most people in the world wouldn't know a good beer if it stood up and slapped them in the face, the bulk of the US population falls into this category IMO. Let me rephrase...In countries outside the US that are known historically as beer drinking populations, most do not drink Budweiser.
  12. Although not a Budweiser drinker Budweiser is still made in the USA by our citizens just like the majority of the "foreign" cars that we drive, no one outside the USA wants to drink it anyway. When it comes to good brew I think that the US Micro-Brewers in the last 10 years have met or surpassed foreign competition in quality and variety in almost all categories and there are vastly more US produced brews here on the shelf than foreign, personally I wish Budweiser would disappear to make more room in the cooler for the good stuff (including foreign brewed). That being said some of my all time
  13. My first job was tossing fresh dead pigeons through the air after my partner on the other side of the field fired a shotgun blank, for retriever dog field training exercises and competitions, ah the good ole days.
  14. WOW!! I feel a little better ...$591.88
  15. Thinking of going in the morning.
  16. Do you ever have grass fed beef?
  17. So glad to see those morons in the gold dome are working on the truly important issues.
  18. Really??? That's his excuse? Good luck with that holding up in court.
  19. You know...if the school board was smart enough to let the older kids go home first I wouldn't have to take off work to pick up my kid at the elementary school.
  20. If you throw out your butts you are a loser, no matter how you justify it.
  21. Where are they headed? We are leaving for Snowshoe early Sunday morning.
  22. No Antenna = No Reception I am using a small omni-directional antenna and I get about 10 channels in New Hope, although allot of factors come into play in getting good reception.
