With internet and texting, it is almost impossible to keep the information from getting out. When Paulding has lost young ones in the past, and the correct information was held back for 2 days, then rumors began flying. Considering it was already being posted on FB, and the kids were already calling each other on the phone, I feel it was a good thing to post the CORRECT information on here early. As long as the family already knew. Just MHO. And like Barbed Wire said.... I don't think I would be up to making hundreds of phones calls to make sure every one knew.

So sad. This is my absolute worst fear. My son just got his license 3 days ago.

I guess it's all a matter of interpretation. I didn't take it as a race thing at all. I took it just as it was intended for me to take it. The people who think the world owes them, should be given everything for free, take advantage of a system that is meant to help those who truly need it, and spend their money on "material" things, and not necessities. I know several doing the same thing right now, and it makes my stomach turn.

I just talked to him. He is just now leaving my neighborhood. He decided to go home to pick up his friend before coming to pick me up, even though he is in my car. Mom is stranded at work. *sigh* He is just an excited, newly licensed teen, taking advantage of Mom's car. Luckily for him, I him to pieces, and he has been making me very proud lately, so I will forgive.

My brand new (2 days in fact) licensed son is coming from New Hope to pick me up in Powder Springs. My nerves are gonna be shot until he pulls in this parking lot.

Some times the judges hands are tied, due to the way the laws are written, and the minimum sentencing allowed. They can't change that, and can't give less than the required amount. I would think if this kid is in school at this time, it was probably one of those minor things we are speaking of!

Yep. And there have been several cases on the news, where a kindergarten age boy, kissed a girl of the same age, on the playground, on the cheek, and was suspended from school for sexual harassment. What kind of sense does that make?

Please keep in mind what NC-17 stated. We do not know any of the details. It could be so minor, and just as much the "victims" fault as it is the one charged. Some of the sex offender laws are over board. For example: A 15 yo girl can take a pic of herself, and send it to her boyfriend who is 17, via her cell phone to his cell phone. According to the law, this boy is now in possession of child pornography. They can break up, and out of spite, this boy now chooses to forward those pics to every one in his phone list.
