Sounds like we all pretty much agree that banks suck and credit unions are the way to go, whichever one you choose to use.

I just changed back to Scana. The switch was effective as of yesterday. I am now also paying .69/therm. Locked it in for 12 months. I did hear yesterday that it is actually best to not lock in your rates right now because they should continue to fall for a while. I had already set this up 6 weeks ago though.

I am looking forward to the extra hour of sleep, but NOT the fact that it will be dark so early in the evenings. I hate that.

BTW....LGE is a commerce member on here too.

I have been turning mine on for a few minutes in the morning to knock the chill out of the air while the kids get ready for school. Only on the upper floor where the bedrooms are though. Then it goes back off before leaving for work. I did leave it on this morning though. Set it at 70. Glad I have changed gas companies and the rate will be so low during the winter this year.

I now use LGE Credit Union. They actually have a checking out that pays you 3% interest, and the qualifications are so easy. No minimum balance. They are awesome.

Here is what my oldest and his friends did when my 3yo nephew came in with his loot.

What a sweet baby!! We've been told the word got out about our pixie stix so we were swamped. We still have a box left though, and it looks like everyone is done.

And mine. We are flying through the candy. We went and got 3 boxes of giant pixie stix, a big container of ring pops and a huge bag of bubble gum at Sam's today. I am close to running out of everything except the bubble gum.

Going to celebrate a friend's 40th with a group of friends, then going to spend a little while with family/friends at a Halloween party bonfire, then going to get back with the first group of friends to continue celebrating her birthday, then may have to stop by Phoenix tonight and peek in at the pcommer's Halloween bash. Shew. I'm already tired. Thank goodness I can sleep in tomorrow.

That's because you lived in Alaska for so many years you're used to it. I bumped it on for about 20 minutes this morning and then turned it back off. I will open the windows back up when I get home this afternoon, close them again before bed, and bump the heat on for another 20 minutes tomorrow morning.

It was 70 when I got up this morning. I am in shorts again. I look forward to wearing jeans and boots the rest of this week.
