  1. MD, my dad always said the same thing. Then when tax time came around, he stressed over it and many times ended up owing some. I would rather do it this way, get a large amount back instead of a little more spread out each paycheck. If the refund is handled correctly, it can go a long way. This is what works best for me. I used to do it the other way, but have been doing it this way for a few years now, and it works well for me. Not saying it is what everyone should do, but it's best for me.
  2. Some of us do that on purpose so we know we won't owe in the end. I get a large refund back, put it in an interest earning account, and use it very wisely. I don't run out and spend it.
  3. I am too. I don't eat them from many places, but I love them from Firehouse Subs and Longhorn. Those are about the only 2 places I will get them from. If I get can't them from there, then I make my own.
  4. I always use TaxAct.com and get my money within a couple of weeks. It's so easy to do my own taxes that way, and it's cheap.
  5. -_-I found my picture, but having trouble getting it to upload on here again.
  6. You know who has an amazing salad? Firehouse subs! I was very impressed. It is a great price and HUGE salad. I was so impressed, I took a picture of it and posted it on FB. I think I still have it on my camera. I am going to go and see if I can find it and post it.
  7. Oh my! That is not good at all. I LOVE La Parilla. I always get their steak burrito and jalapeno cheese dip. I guess I shouldn't mess with perfection and just keep going where I know it will be right and wonderful.
  8. Sadie, you made me think of a funny story when you said he should have googled it. My son (well, nephew... but I have been raising since before he was 2) was emailing his bio mom before Christmas. She asked him what he wanted and he said a skateboard tool. When she asked what that was, he simply replied "google.com" She got a kick out of that and was telling me about it when she dropped back off here at home Christmas night. We all agreed that at 11, he has become quite the little smart@ss.
  9. In the old Johnny Carino's building next to Hooter's. CC - I totally agree. Odd name for a Mexican Rest.
  10. I am just wondering if anyone has tried it yet? I am in the mood for some Mexican.
  11. daughter is snowed in at dad's, and son is snowed in at a friend's. At least my youngest made it home tonight.
  12. We just got back from Hiram. Roads are very wet, but not icey yet. Temp was 33 when we passed a bank sign on 278. Got home and the driveway/sidewalk/steps are turning to slush. Once the temps drop just a little more, we will start seeing ice.
  13. Thank you every one. We chose Taki Japanese Steak House. It was great and I am full. Now to enjoy an afternoon of quiet before the kids return home later.
  14. My brother is treating us out to lunch, and we don't know what is open?

  16. According to the radar, it's turning over to snow here in Paulding now.
  17. They are now backing off of the 1.6 to 3 inch prediction. Now saying less than 1/2 inch. Bah humbug! Glad I didn't run out and get any sleds this week.
  18. We are OUT of milk at my house. I can't keep enough of it. My family drinks almost a gallon a day of MAYFIELD! They are killing me. I rarely buy it at the grocery store though. $4.79/gal there, and $3.99 at Rite Aid. I plan to stop at Rite Aid and buy 2 or 3 gallons on the way home today. Edited to say we are well stocked on the TP though. I always buy the BIG packs at Sam's that last forever. Hall closet is filled with it.
  19. I just looked at every weather site I could find, and they are still saying the same thing. Basically, they have to watch all the elements and see what is going to happen. It's still too far away to tell, but we are in the "moderate" area for snowfall according to the accuweather map I just looked at.
  20. Records are made to be broken Johnny my man! I think the only thing that will stop it at this point, is me going out and getting a sled or 2 for the kids. Once I do that, snow will never hit the ground here again.

  23. AS FOR ACCUMULATIONS...THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL BE IN THE NORTH GEORGIA MOUNTAINS WHERE 2 TO 4 INCHES COULD FALL BY SUNDAY MORNING. FROM THIS AREA...SOUTHWARD TO THE ATLANTA AND ATHENS AREA...BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES OF SNOW COULD FALL. SOUTH OF ATLANTA AND ATHENS...AN INCH OR LESS IS POSSIBLE. THERE IS STILL A LOT OF UNCERTAINTY WITH THE PROJECTED PATH...AND ANY DEVIATION TO THE NORTH OR SOUTH COULD MEAN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAIN OR SNOW...AS WELL AS TOTAL AMOUNTS. ANYONE PLANNING TRAVEL ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA OR THE SOUTHEAST UNITED STATES OVER THE CHRISTMAS WEEKEND SHOULD
