Lol! I agree with you about age not factoring into driving. I believe maturity and experience are the main factors. Your also correct about kids having that natural ability to drive. There are so many things that a lot of parents don't consider. Puts both the kids and other drivers at great risk. There's no need to rush things when it comes to letting your kid drive.

I do believe that girls are more mature and ready to drive before boys. I can see how that helped! Mine have ridden four wheelers from a very young age, and it has given them a little bit of a feel for driving. From the time I could see over the wheel and reach the gas petal, my dad was teaching me to drive. Before that, I was sitting in his lap and he was instructing me. I had tons of experience at an early age. Experience is key, well along with that maturity thing!

My son got his lerners at 15, he just turned 16. He will be turned loose on the street when I feel like he's mature enough, and more experienced. Don't know what age that will be yet. I do agree with making them wait, 16 is far too young, IMO too. I not only worry about his abilities and maturity, it's the others who are rude, and ride his bumper and the other things they do. I wish people would have more respect for young drivers that are just learning, or just starting to drive on their own. Well EPHS of course! Very talented ball player, he is a great kid from what I hear. Ole Trav shouldn't be pissed, there are good and bad stories about him. He's just like anyone else, I guess, we all have good and bad days. Some just hide it better than others.

I hope the pressure doesn't get to him either. He is so talented and has been given a great opportunity at such a young age. I really wish him the best!
