  1. I have never liked Valentines day, even when I was much younger. Hubby and I exchange cards and say 'Happy Valentines Day' but that is about the extent of it. It has always seemed like a no brainer holiday for men because most know that you are supposed to make reservations, buy flowers, candy, jewelery and or lingerie. And women seem to expect these things and when they aren't forth coming, look out. I figure if Hubby can't think about me on any given day, in any given month without having to have a set date every year, I've married the wrong guy or haven't done a very good job at b
  2. I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten at Taste Of Dixie about a month ago.
  3. Me neither, thats what I mostly use too.
  4. Print the postage from your home computer and you have the same options, including ins., without the hassle. Then the mail person can pick it up from your house. Done and done. Thats how I do ALL of my ebay stuff.
  5. Y-E-A!!!! :clapping: :clapping:
  6. I agree, Sports Authority is a joke. The prices are laughable and you can't compare them with Bass, they have completely different things and Walmart certainly doesn't have what Bass does.
  7. Yes this is normal. You're both tired and things can get edgy quickly. I don't know from personal experience as a single Mom, but my Mom was a single Mom most of my childhood and I'll guarantee you that being alone with kids and no help is not better. I know you're just venting and it's scary when your relationship changes, but as baby gets older and does get better sleeping habits, ya'll can get more rest and eventually have time for yourselves as a couple. Believe me, when I had 3rd grader, both of my girls were in high school and he didn't sleep for 7 months. He HATED riding in the
  8. We've seen it and no thank you!!!
  9. It's my understanding that as long as it's in the actual post and not in the title, it's OK.
  10. I think it's hard to relate to something to this bizarre because when I see these people literally getting sick over getting rid of things that have caused their kids to be taken away, for me it's a no brainer....get rid of the crap. But I guess I have to believe that this is a real thing because who would choose this? It's just hard to comprehend when you have no reference to it in your life. Heck, I loaded up the car with 6 garbage bags and two boxes of good stuff for Goodwill this week because I can't stand having stuff around that I don't use anymore. It's sad because these peo
  11. That was the third time we had been. The first time was great, the second not so much and then this last time, it was just really disappointing. And not just for us, but for them too because that is the experience I took away and is hard to get past. When you hear so much about a place and when it doesn't pan out, it isn't good for anybody involved. You didn't offend me at all, I just was explaining my post. No problem.
  12. I didn't 'trash' anybody, I relayed the experience I had and it's my choice to go back or not. Between the drive and the $17.00 per person price tag for lunch, it's just not worth it to me to go again. I don't care who supports them or who goes, it just won't be me and that does not equate to 'trashing' anyone.
  13. Unfortunately, the last time we went to the Blue Willow Inn it was a disaster and I swore we'd never go back. We went for our anniversary, had a reservation for 2:00pm, arrived and told them we were there at 1:50pm and were told it would be just a minute. At 2:20 I went back in and asked about our reservation and was again told that it would be 'just a minute'. They continued to call the 'Barkers' over and over and over and over for at least 15 minutes and no one answered. At 2:50 Hubby asked what the problem was and was told that 'they were just real busy'. Finally at 3:10, h
  14. Yes there are, the one in Destin Florida is about as far from an interstate as you can get.
  15. I think I must not understand the definition of hoarding because I think it means stacking, buying and keeping, until you can't walk in a house. I don't think it means that your house is so filthy you have dead cats and other wildlife in your house. Having every dish you own dirty and moldy in a sink is just plain gross and I don't believe that is hoarding, I don't care what the experts say. Clutter to the rafters is one thing, filth and having no running water and no toilet don't fit the bill. IMO.
  16. HONESTLY...................WHAT IN EARTH were Harrys parents thinking by naming him that? Granted, times have changed and more minds may be in the gutter these days, but come on...................Harry Baals...................REALLY!?!?!! They really didn't get it?!?!?!
  17. OH MY!!!  On a side note....how many hosts has Family Feud had in the past few years? Steve Harvey, the guy from Home Improvement and the J. Peterman character from Seinfeld?
  18. The Harry Baals Federal Building, what a ring that has to it!!!
