I don't think a gun in my hand would be the best idea right now!! Hubby says it's even worse because I must have backed over the motorcycle!!!! -

I think it almost did! The Chinese food I had gone to pick up is still on the counter. Everyone else has eaten, maybe later! And then your thinking, 'OMG, what did I do'? But I didn't do anything. Brake lights work and when I stopped the car, my blinker was still blinking when I ran to the road. I think I'm just going to 'drink' dinner......not really! -

Day just got worse for me. I was turning left into my neighborhood, as the front of my car was entering the subdivision, I heard a 'bonking' noise, felt nothing and looked up and there was a motorcycle laying in the road. His brakes apparently locked up and he dropped the bike and slid down the road into the underside of my bumper. Naturally I stopped, in a panic and there he was in the road. I thought I was going to puke. But he got up, walked around as I was trying to dial 911 (my phone was dead.....REALLY?) and kept insisting he was OK and wanted to make sure I was OK. I could -
Santa in no way represents a religious overtone. I know Jewish people who do the whole Santa thing, but they certainly don't recognize the Christian holiday. It's a hat for heavens sake. Now if it had a picture of Jesus on, that could be a problem.

Thats EXACTLY what Hubby said!

You could be right, but what female with any self respect would want to 'get with' a pathetic guy like this? I guess money really does talk, it's kind of sad really!

..................for the Misery loves Company 'contest'? -
I heard this morning on tv that there is almost no overhead and that he is getting 85% of the door. Whether thats true or not, I don't know. I won't be there, I can go any number places for free and listen to wackos babble nonsense.

I'm torn on this one. Is a Santa hat a religious symbol? I don't think so. Did that person have a job because of the Christmas holiday? Maybe. If so, then that is being very hypocritical. However, an employer can't refuse employment on grounds of religion and if in fact the Santa hat went against her beliefs, they have to respect that. But, I'll bet an agnostic or atheist would have worn the hat because a Santa hat doesn't represent religion, just the holiday. But JW's don't acknowledge any holidays. This is a slippery slope and for once, I can actually see both sides. Tha

Isn't that weird?! We were talking about that last night. I've seen the devastation and death and it is heart wrenching and sad, but the dogs are what made me cry, same with my daughter, she was teary just telling me about the video. I wonder why animals evoke tears and humans don't? Maybe they seem more helpless somehow.

I can't imagine losing a child, I hope that her family finds some small comfort in the fact that she was loved by so many people.

Thank you!! I would love to help with graduation! It's so hard for teens to lose one of their own because when you are 17, you are invincible and immortal. That they have given of themselves, makes me want to help them in any way I can. Thank you for including me!!!

Forget the fact that these people in office are idiots, it's the idiots that voted them into office that are scarier to me.

Same here! OMG, I know!!! I laughed out loud at that one!!!!

How on earth is being able to buy beer on Sunday at Publix going to increase gay marriage? Are people, especially our ELECTED officials, REALLY THAT STUPID? He cried for real or did he just whine a lot?

So, is it true or a hoax like the mod said? Weird!

Another thread was closed by the mods because they said it wasn't true. Was it really on the news or is that part of the joke?

I love that one and then the policeman gives him a doughnut. Another one is a new girl with a not so cool dress and the girls talking at the locker say hello to her. Yep, they are moving to say the least. -

How Far Should The Rights Of Children Go When
dawneykids replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree and this kind of 'contest' is a little off putting. People on here can be nasty enough without opening the flood gate to them so they can win a prize. Is this really a good idea? Not so much. Rewarding someone for bad behavior is kind of nauseating. -
That he was even HIRED by Aflec is a mystery to me. Once a jackass, always a jackass.

How Far Should The Rights Of Children Go When
dawneykids replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There is a LAW that states that my child cannot eat peanut butter at school because a child at his school is allergic to it? UUUUUMMMMMMMM..........I don't think so. Where are the rights of the kids who have no allergy? In a school of 700 kids, 1 has this issue and everyone should have to change their diet to accommodate that one child? Thats ridiculous!! And a 'policy' isn't a 'law'.
