LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Zenni. Once you have your eyes checked and unless you have a complicated prescription, I highly recommend them! I recently got 7 pair of glasses, all so very cute, for less than $60.00.

I can't wait til that range opens, it's closer than any other one to us. Well, except for Hot Shots in Smyrna, but I HATE that place. That used to be Hot Shots and I'll say again........I HATE it!!!!

It used to be called Ed's, then Nick's Guns. It has changed once again but the range is closed for renovation right now. We went last week and they had no specific re-open date. Adventure Outdoors has moved down the street from their previous location and have 10,000 sq ft. But we were told that the shooting range may not open until January and while they are supposed to have an archery range, there was no info on the opening of it.

We like Stoddards and there is a new place in Woodstock called Big Woods Goods (redneck name I know), that we also like. Big Woods also has an archery range.

I think its ridiculous that Lowes caved to a group that probably only the group themselves have ever heard of. I seriously doubt that Lowes lost any customers over this advertisement on a Muslim based show.

That is the bottom line of this story for me as well. Whats next, warnings about not letting your children play in traffic? For goodness sake, does no one have ANY common sense anymore?

We were there on Friday night and my daughter and her family came last night and saw Santa. Thank you so much for doing this, it is a real treat for all who see it. The Christmas spirit is still alive and well!!!!!!!!!
-
Yep, you are correct! I think that happens more than we'd like to think.
-
That is exactly what is wrong with so many kids today, parents being waaaay to cool. I was a cool mom to teen girls up until the moment they needed a real mom and I didn't hesitate to lay down the law and they KNEW it.

Why on earth is an eighth grader dating anyone, especially a senior in high school? Sounds like shes looking for a cheap babysitter to me, easier for someone else to look after her kid than her. It's disgraceful!!!

I gave you a plus, so you're back at 0.

I completely agree with you, I don't fault the cashier in most cases because what are they supposed to do? You have a woman with 30 items trying to whittle them down to 10 AFTER it's their turn.......makes me crazy! I was third in line at Big Lots yesterday and there were about 15 or so people behind me. The cashier kept looking back at the line, seeming very harried. I felt bad for her and when it was my turn I told her to focus on the customer she was waiting on and try not to panic about all the other people in line. She was quick and efficient and nice, but she was only one person

Don't you love that!?! I figure if they could open another line, they would. But what's worse is when customers are rude to the cashiers doing their best to check out a million people by themselves. It's like they don't realize that that is ONE person doing their job. It's not like they can split in two and help twice as many people at once!

That is where I was today, 2nd car in line, 23 minute wait and I couldn't get out because there were several cars behind me.
-
So do you think that's an everyday thing or a holiday thing? I'm going with everyday! Three times on Tuesday near Town Center, I was almost smashed by people wanting to be in my lane, not caring that I was already there! I guess everyone else's time is just more important than ours!!

At Ross yesterday I had lots of luck in finding gifts, so naturally I wasn't going to put them back for having to wait too long. However, the two women in front of me had 2 buggies full of stuff, which was fine, but they held up every single thing they wanted, hem hawing and modeling it. "I'm not sure if I can wear bright red pants, what do you think', 'Oh, I love brightly colored pants, I think you should get them', 'Oh. I don't know if I could pull it off', 'Sure you could, that color looks great on you'. This went on and on and on and on and on and on and on. GAD!!!!!!!! I stated c

.........PLEASE BE READY WHEN IT'S YOUR TURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't finish your shopping at the register while asking the cashier her opinion of ALL 25 of your items and then being indecisive about what you do or do not want. Or at the drive through at the bank asking for printouts of your account, then needing a deposit slip and pen, taking 23 minutes to do your transaction, GO inside. This isn't just about the Christmas rush because I have no problem waiting in line, it is just crazy how people seem to be so inconsiderate. Vent over.

Yep, because IF they are wrong, this arrest could get this kid killed.....for real! However, if they have the evidence and he is guilty, they should have dropped him in his tracks instead of arresting him. T-H-A-T is why I'd make a terrible police officer! -

These are kind of goofy, but from the time I was about 7 until 17 or so, my grandmother made all the grandgirls flannel gowns. Very simple and plain, from patterns she and my grandfather made themselves, but I L-O-V-E-D them!!! I remember the last one I got and I wore it well into my 20's after I had 2 children of my own. When it had too many holes to repair I had to scrap it and it almost killed me. And now that I have 2 grandgirls of my own, they get plain and simple homemade flannel gowns from me. Her brother, we called Uncle Ewle, would give us all 100 pennies in a little plastic -
These are the best parties, I highly recommend having one for a great girl's night. Glad to see you back on here!!!!!!!

The person who killed this child should die a horrible, painful death. This is EXACTLY the reason 4th grader is supervised when he is outside AT ALL TIMES. He is NEVER allowed to roam the neighborhood alone and there are only 2 houses he is allowed to play at because I KNOW he will be watched properly. I get from other parents that 'he needs to grow up', yea, he does, thats why I watch him like a hawk, dumba$$!!!! -

dawneykids replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I wear make-up almost everyday, but my MUST HAVE is Chapstick, peppermint or Cherry. I'm addicted to it and if I'm out and lose it or can't find a stick of it in the car or in my purse, I go buy a new tube. -
at what age should you tell a child about a death?
dawneykids replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think you are exactly right, I would never, ever bring it up randomly. The only reason we talked to 4th grader when he was 6 is because my sister died so suddenly. And we in fact took our ques from him, if he asked a question or wanted an explanation, we gave it on his level. That still goes now even though he is 4 years older.
