  1. It's a shame that you can't get on here anymore, post a vent and let it go at that. It devolves into subjects that have nothing to do with the original post. Suddenly people become immoral and ignorant because they are unhappy that they were blatantly taken advantage of, run off the road, short changed or whatever. Passing judgements on people you don't even know because they respond on this board and it goes against whatever your moral compass is, that is pretty ignorant to me. I guess being rude to people who disagree with you when you yourself are on a higher moral ground is OK though.
  2. I always thought myself ridiculous, but whenever we go to a hotel, I always make sure we check out the emergency evacuation and if we have 4th grader, I tell Hubby, 'You get___ out, I'll be right behind you'.
  3. This is an interesting read. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/250757-do-not-get-duped-like-i-did/page__p__3227222__fromsearch__1#entry3227222
  4. Wow, thats a little bit of a stretch don't you think? Where did I say anything about hurting her? But I'm not going to be nice to the guy who snatches my purse either, but thats just me. It's good to know that no matter how some people are treated, that they are going to be nice to the person trying to scr$w them anyway. You're obviously a bigger person than me. .......and then goes to buy lottery tickets.
  5. Agreed. When you are scamming people over and over, people who feel bad for you and you take the money given to you, go straight to the gas station and buy lottery tickets.......nope.......you don't deserve a kind word. Sorry! Maybe someone needs to tell her that lots of Pcommers have her number and has put out the word that shes a scammer.
  6. I guess I should have supplied the link, DUH!!
  7. This sounds like the lady who is always begging with the same story at the Food Lion on 61. Galinemanswife has a story about that!
  8. Yep, that was all they got him on. I never understood why they thought he would also be the one killing little boys, there didn't seem to be a connection, at least not in my mind. I have always wondered if the real child killer got away with many, many murders.
  9. It went to Paulding Place and the password is ON.
  10. I don't think at Abney that they have an actual graduation type ceremony, but they have lots of activities and then the 5th grade walk on the last day of school. All of the parents are invited and along with all the students, they line the halls from one end of the school to the other and as the 5th graders walk out to the playground the as commencement ceremony song plays on the intercom. Then they release balloons. Lots of wet eyes that day.
  11. There was a story about this company on Channel 2 Action News this morning for not picking up garbage, not answering phone calls, and not returning messages. EEK!
  12. It was Spandex day, people were going blind!
  13. The personal attacks in this topic astound me. I guess name calling just because you don't agree with their opinion, people you don't even know, is taking the high ground somehow. Very moral and upstanding for sure. It's really sad when a discussion can't be had and opinions shared without resorting to the 3rd grade mentality of name calling. Edited because I screwed up, but name calling is still going on and still isn't cool.
  14. I've never had a problem with the death penalty because some people are simply evil and don't deserve to draw another breath. However, my MIL was adamantly against it when Hubby and I were dating and for a log time after that. One day, we were watching the news and a story came on about a young girl that had been taken, raped, killed and dumped. The killer had gotten the death penalty and she proceeded to go on and on about how it was wrong to take a life regardless of what they had done, yada, yada, yada. I asked her 1 simple question, 'What would you do if that were your daughter, one of y
  15. OMG, I remember that too!!!!! Even then, I wondered what dr. married a prostitute?
  16. Who rear ends a bicycle, especially if an 81 year old man is riding it? I'm glad he seems to be OK.
  17. Wow! Good for you! I'll bet all that extra effort comes out in your finished product, YUM!!
  18. So what is the answer, make sure we buy the bruised apples and bananas and the stale bread from the bakery? Sorry, if I'm paying for and getting to pick it, no blemishes on the fruit and very fresh bread. I guess that makes me part of the problem instead of the solution. Oh well.
  19. Wow, I don't envy you this decision. Did his mother pay for the new tattoo or did he and if he did, how did he do it? I can understand how you'd want to turn off his phone, but the only reason I'd say no is for safety reasons. I know he's 18, a big boy, but I'd hate to think that it was turned off and he found himself in a situation where he really needed help and had no phone. However, maybe you could get a plan or phone with very limited capabilities, like maybe no texting or apps. Or maybe his mother should pay for the phone instead of new tattoos. Good luck!!!
  20. Customer service is acceptable most of the time, but if I get exceptional service, I write a letter, call or send an email to commend the person to the higher ups in their company. I think it's only right to give a compliment because I certainly tell if service has been bad.
