Since my daughter and her hubby moved out last month, I've tried not to be the nut I really am. Her commute went from less than 5 minutes to over 45 minutes. So, when it's raining or foggy and I know she has to drive to Harelson county, I text her husband and gently say, 'if you want to shoot me a text when she gets home, that would be just fine' and he ALWAYS does. I figure though if she doesn't make it in the allotted time, he'll call anyway. We are all in close contact most of the time. The funny thing is, is that the same goes for me not answering my phone. They know that my cell

It's especially good when you have a permit if you want to buy a gun from a gun show on the weekend when it may not be so easy to get approved on the spot.

Among other things I'm thinking!!

Luckily, Hubby and my girls always answer their phone because if they don't, in my world, they are dead on the side of the road somewhere.

Yes, I have the same problem and I don't think that makes you a spaz. My youngest daughter, 24, and her husband moved out the the week before Christmas and it still feels like one of my arms is missing.

That is exactly what happened to me too. I read that he was very ill and then logged on and it said that he had died. It seems unconfirmed at best at this point. -

I just saw on Comcast that he was in very serious condition, not dead. HHHMMMM? That link says he's not dead, but in serious condition. The Huffington Post isn't my go to agency for a real news story. -

Wow, I had no idea that he was so sick. -
Yep, we were at Adventure Outdoors the other day and there were 2 men waiting on their background checks and they didn't get to take their guns with them, the manager told them that it could be up to 3 business days before they heard anything. That, to me, is a waiting period.

ho4th grader got this book when he was a tiny baby and I have yet been able to finish it without boohooing!

His brother has filed some kind of petition on his behalf, I read about it in the paper yesterday.

I cannot BELIEVE what's newsworthy these days

And this whiney kids is our future? We're doomed, not just because this kid is a sore loser and will take that attitude into adulthood, but because his parents seem to be OK with it. If 4th grader had wanted to call the news, even if he HAD been cheated, it wouldn't have happened. Unfortunately, life isn't always fair and every little thing isn't news worthy. How pathetic. And since when are you supposed to get the list of words that are going to be given at the spelling bee? There seems to be a lot of dumb going around in Douglasville. -
I always loved The Gift of the Maji(sp) and Stone Soup.

If you have a permit to carry, there is no additional background check. You show your valid permit, drivers license and have to fill out paper work as usual, but there is no waiting period.

But the do perms, WTH? I guess it's better to burn someones hair off with chemicals, than to have the color turn out wrong. Weird!

I'm not sure about that, but I will tell you that 4th grader isn't allowed to play anything rated over teen and Hubby has one that we don't let him watch Hubby play and it's not that bad. Why risk it? -

IMO, there is no excuse or reason to smoke while pregnant. You have to out that baby first, regardless. Women also drank in the 50's and 60's while pregnant and that has proven to be dangerous to a baby's health. Should a womans circumstances be considered if she was pregnant and knocking back a few at a bar? No, they shouldn't.

I know that there is a black out of many websites today, how do you find out what they are. I have been trying to get on Yahoomail all morning and it keeps saying, 'sorry, the URL you trying to reach is unfound'.

If she is stupid enough to do it at all, shes certainly stupid enough to do it in public.
