  1. And as far as not having to say 'so help me God', that means nothing. There are many, many people BORN here in this country who are in fact American citizens born and bred, who don't follow the Christian God that so many believe that EVERYONE should follow. We shouldn't allow a home grown Buddhist to join? I seem to remember that religious freedom was a rock that this country was built on and because you choose to believe in something else, you shouldn't be allowed to join the military? And another thing, most of the 'illegals' that are always being referred to are from Mexico and other c
  2. From everything I have read, there are restrictions and you can't just stroll across the border and head to the nearest recruiting office. Being 'illegal' and not being a US citizen isn't the same thing. I have read several articles and you either have to have a visa or a green card and have to have come here before were you were 16. I wonder if there was this kind of outcry when all the droves of people landed at Ellis Island? While I think the 'illegal' problem here is significant, this isn't about 'illegals' because an undocumented person still isn't allowed to join, it's about people w
  3. When middleschooler was about 4, we went to the linemans rodeo in Perry, GA and Austin was there with his dad and their family. There is a big lake on the property and Austin was fishing and it was killing middleschooler that he couldn't fish too. Finally, Austin said, 'C'mon little man, lets go fishing'. He was hooked, no pun intended. Well, the rest of the afternoon there was one big kid and one little kid fishing and all afternoon middleschooler kept saying, 'Let's catch some fish Boston'. From that day on this now well rounded college kid, Austin Cole, has become 'Boston' Cole to our famil
  4. Hubby came home a few days ago and told me that the son of one of our friends at GPC had been written up in an article about how 'cocaine saved his life'. This is a neat kid and thankfully has overcome the circumstances of his birth. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/09/cocaine_saved_my_life_says_sou.html
  5. I'm an average citizen and I'm not afraid of interaction with the police, but maybe I should be. I had interaction last week at a road block on Bobo rd. They were doing a license check.
  6. As much as I want to, I can't argue with you on this one.
  7. I thought this was fake..................................not the boob, the story.
  8. You are correct. This is the thing that kills me about so many bad things that befall people, they happen when they are drinking or better yet, drunk. Another reason, besides the ulcer, that I don't drink. I didn't drink before the ulcer, I can't stand to feel out of control. People can be sooo foolish with their own lives. .
  9. I LOVE the original NCIS, but I HATE the LA version. I tried and tried for one whole season to watch it, but I just can't stand it. I saw the crossover show when the NO NCIS was introduced and as much as I liked the main character, I didn't like the show too much. Maybe I'll give it another try.
  10. Bless your heart, I know that was hard for. But more than anything, I hate this da%m Lyme disease, ya know that one that doesn't exist here in GA, that has caused you so much pain. Feel better and take heart that Pcommers feel the same about you.
  11. I replied to your post in the secret forum!
  12. Yea, I saw that story and all I could think was, 'What a dumba$$, did you really expect a different outcome'?
  13. This has been all over the news this morning. I've heard it at least 6 times on two different stations. And you're right, it's shameful and should be embarrassing to all involved.
  14. Well sometimes things don't work out as planned...................
  15. Bless your heart! Having been born from a non existent mother/person must be jarring!
  16. Wow, I just saw this on the news and it looks like we're pretty serious. .
  17. OMG, thank you for posting this. I'm all teary eyed after looking at the website because now my granddaughter may finally be able to wear a real pair of jeans. She's doesn't have Downs, but is Austic and her build is much the same. THANK YOU!!
  18. I'm curious as to the turnout at those prices, they're out there for sure.
  19. I saw that and realizeds that once again Dr. Phil is trying too hard to follow in the footsteps of Maury Povich.
  20. I'd rather have a fuel dump than a fiery plane crash. We've already had one too many of those in PC.
  21. I'm glad it's not just me, I hate it when people tell me I'm crazy because I don't like veggies and most fruits. 'You've never had my greenbeans, you'd love them'. 'No. No I wouldn't if you make them with........uuuummmmmm........lets' see..............greenbeans'.
  22. I agree. I could wear canteloupe for perfume or use it as bubble bath because I love the smell, but the taste makes me gag. Literally.
