  1. With big risk comes big reward. And having said that, I couldn't do it. Good luck!
  2. You didn't specify any rules such as color blindness or who wrote what, when. You asked for contradictions and I gave you 4 of them. But it seems that you aren't confident enough in your own beliefs to have it withstand any questioning. It's a little sad IMO. Silly, silly man, these aren't contradictions, they are different passages, written by different people, at different times. They don't count.
  3. Maaan, you hit that nail squarely on the head!
  4. The color of this car doesn't matter, scarlet and purple are never the same.
  5. I LOVE tea, cinnamon is my favorite. Thanks for the info.
  6. Are you kidding??????????????????? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. These weird calls are exactly why I never answer numbers I don't recognize. If they need me they'll leave a message and I an call back. Normally, that's never the case, no message is left and the number never calls back. Hubby had a missed call on his phone last week and they did leave a message and when we called back, it said 'in order to direct your call, please state your SS# and date of birth and we will answer your call in a moment'. Yea whatever..................
  8. A whack job showed up at a Kroger inside a grocery store in an attempt to cash a 94+ million dollar tax refund check? The stupidity of people shouldn't surprise me anymore, but it does. Trying to CASH a 94 million dollar check at a grocery store Kroger?????????????????????????? I wouldn't ever tell anyone I knew that fool. OMG, people can be so STUPID. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/woman-arrested-allegedly-filing-fake-94-million-ta/nhWqX/
  9. They didn't ask for old or new testament, they asked for a contradiction in the Bible and I supplied one. Just because someone doesn't like the answer to their question, it doesn't make the answer wrong. Here's one anyway: Matthew 27:28- And the stripped him and put a scarlet robe upon him. John 19:2-And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. Which was it, scarlet or purple? Those two statements contradict each other and they are in the new testament or at least they are in the Bible I'm holding.
  10. I don't need to study anything, you asked for a contradiction and I gave you one. The end.
  11. Unfortunately, middleschooler is in that boat too. We became so disillusioned with all the goings on that he has missed out and as parents, that is our one big failure.
  12. ISAIAH 14:21- Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers, that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. DEUTERONOMY 24:16-The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for their fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
  13. Words to live by for sure. When we moved to PC, my girls were ridiculed for being Catholic. Brazenly ridiculed. I had no problem letting them go to church with new friends until they came home upset because the so called teachers at the churches where they were guests tried to tell them and the other kids there that Catholics worshipped Mary and that because they weren't 'saved', they would go to Hell. This happened three times before I nipped in the bud and they were never allowed to attend other churches after that.
  14. Mine too and it makes me crazy and if you call them on it, it turns into 'do as I say and not as I do'.
  15. I have a french press, but have never used it, I didn't think it would make a difference. I'll go to youtube and see how to do it.
  16. I love this answer!! I wonder if it's just my taste buds, because wine is the same and veggies all taste like dirt, literally. HHHMMMMMM???!!!
  17. All good points. I have wondered why FCA is even sponsored at school. There is a specific teacher at my grandkids elementary school who talks about religion A LOT, too much even. When middleschooler had this person, he would come home with tales of her comments and discussions, I would just shake my head and think that he couldn't possibly be right. That was until I began hearing the same stories from other kids and their parents. Now my granddaughter and grandson are bringing home the same stories. This isn't a social studies teacher where these things could be relevant, it's a class where r
  18. When we left the Catholic church, I hadn't lost faith in God, I lost faith in my church family and it almost killed me. I felt betrayed by the very people I trusted. They knew this evil was happening and did nothing. But when you look at many churches, the very same thing happens. How many ministers have we all seen on TV, respected, popular and even famous ministers who spend their career telling people how they should live and at some point have to confess an affair, a theft, drug abuse, etc. There's a huge church on Macland rd, it's on the right just before the Lost Mt/New Macland inter
  19. If you don't want to touch the statue, then don't touch it. If you don't want to pray before a game, don't pray. If you don't want to say under God, don't say it. But how dare any group take on a school or any other place when they have no business sticking their noses in where it absolutely doesn't belong. It makes me sick when a small group of people try to dictate the actions of the majority because they think something is wrong. Don't participate if you don't like it. But the wants of the few should never drive the wants of most.
  20. If you ever lose your mind and decide to get rid of that wonderful powder compact with the Eiffel Tower on it, I'd love to take it off of your hands. I love anything with the Eiffel Tower on it.
  21. There wasn't much church going when I was little except for a few times with extended family to what I call 'primitive' Baptist. Lots of yelling, stomping, hellfire and brimstone, everyone is going to Hell kind of stuff. Needless to say, it scared the daylights out of me and I stayed as far away from that as I could. When Hubby and I started dating, I began going to Catholic church with him as he was raised Catholic. I had seen Catholic services on TV while growing up and thought, 'Hey, that's what I want to be'. Not so much because of their beliefs since I didn't know what they were, but
