Agreed. But are they going to say that the probable cause is the fact that you are around the kids at school and then tell you if you don't like it, then you don't have to be there? Abuse could be rampant with a program like this, I'm just not a fan.

My concern too. They can check me from every way to Sunday and there will never be a problem. But, as we all know, someone, somewhere at a school will use this ability to check the background of someone they have no business checking on. I'm all about keeping kids safe, but there has to be a better way than to let schools run random background checks.

But I don't trust that that will be the case. This could turn off a lot of volunteers on the general principle. How many times have we all heard, 'Well, it will only be used for so and so', and then it's abused and people gain information they shouldn't have?

And who is going to be responsible to run these checks and who will have access to the information provided? I agree with you about all of the points of safety for our kids in school, but every Tom, Dick and Harry shouldn't be able to run a background check at will. Can you imagine how this could be abused? I can't see how this will ever fly.

You can google 'Paulding county GA marshalls office' and it should come up. There is a form you print off, fill out and drop it by the marshalls office at the courthouse. I have one filled out to take, but keep giving my neighbor 'just one more day' to get their grass cut. They have lived there for over a month and have yet to cut the yard and it's touching the bottom of the mailbox. Their next door neighbor offered his lawnmower and they said 'no thank you'. I think one reason I like this song so much is because here is a young relatively new artist, addressing something that so many people won't touch with a ten foot pole. I think he believes in the message he's sending, he's owning it and I really think he took a huge risk to his career when he recorded this. That he's standing up for such an obvious problem, makes me admire him. Don't worry, your rep is still intact!!!

I had a great day. Nothing fancy, the kids making a cake and cooking dinner. Even as crazy as they sometimes make me, my family is still the best thing I've ever accomplished.
