What's the difference between these two kinds of shoes?
dawneykids replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes, Toms are the originals. -
$13.00 per character, are you kidding? Good grief!!! We saw this at the previews at NCG the other day and I thought that it looked really cool. Not so, I guess. Thanks for the heads up!!!

I think his mom passed away a couple of weeks ago. How sad for this family.

Not overprotective, sensible and responsible!! I see so many kids starting at about 10 or 11, that their parents seem to lose interest in and leave them to their own devices more often than not. I see it everyday in my own cul-de-sac, it makes me sick. -

Thanks, but no fridge and no beer. Unfortunately, these stupid kids don't realize the consequences of their actions. But with no malice I'm sure. -

Johnstons Ridge on Old Cartersville. Hubby and I drove through the neighborhood and didn't see him and we didn't recognize him. We know most of the kids around from seeing them at the various bus stops around the neighborhood. It's just not safe to enter someone elses home. Who's to say this kid wasn't armed or that we weren't in fear of our life because there was a stranger in our house? I think it was scarier after the fact when you think of 'what could have happened'. -
It's really sad to me that it takes a tragedy in our lives or in someone elses, to stop and realize what we all really have, including me. Perspective shouldn't just come from sad situations, I wish it could just 'be'.

Bless his heart, good wishes to all of you!

Mid teens maybe. He ran out from the very back of the garage when we called out, got on a bike and fled. Taller than me, blond, with a backpack. -
First off, if there are 2 cars in the driveway and the garage doors are open, chances are, SOMEONE IS HOME. Secondly, if you knew what I know about the people in this house and what was in the hand of the person checking out the suspicious noises and falling things in the garage, you'd keep your scrawney behind off of other peoples property. You were lucky today as were we, but next time may not turn out the same. And the PCSD has been notified.

You've had the same pair of sunglasses for 25 years?? 25 years??? Holy moly, a year and a half is about the best I've done. I'd be upset too. I had a pair of vintage sunglasses that I LOVED, they were probably 40 years old and when I had a car accident, the airbag whacked me in the face and we found them in two pieces on the back window deck. Black eyes be damned, I wanted my glasses.

UUUUMMMM, I'm a gal and I agree with you. I have several cross body bags, not too big just to prevent something like this from happening. They're completely hands free and there's no need to ever take them off while shopping. The ungrateful cow should have said 'thank you kind sir', she probably won't be so lucky next time.

You have made my day!! WooHoo, thank you! I sure feel older, but looking good is better than feeling good, right???

Agreed, not only because this sweet man wrote this song for the love of his life, but because this young man recognized a good, no great thing, when he saw it and took his own time, talent and resources to make an even more moving tribute to an obviously very loved lady.

My birthday was Tuesday, the BIG 50. Thanks y'all for the birthday wishes. There was another topic I started about some funny person signing me up for AARP, I don't even know what they do. There is a pic of me and my boy on the big day. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/303822-someone-i-know-has-a-real-sense-of-humor/page__p__3833988__hl__aarp__fromsearch__1#entry3833988

I'm sure I'm doing most things right and some some things wrong, just like so many other parents. I think part of my problem is that I've been in that kids shoes that was in a situation that they never should have been in and I survived. And I don't think that I could live with myself if anything I ever did or didn't do put my son in that same place. Luckily, Hubby is more realistic and pushes me to let go in some situations. And I KNOW in my logical head, that he would NEVER, EVER put his only boy in harms way and sometimes I have to trust that more than the nutbag Mom head that sometimes tak
