  1. You can go to this link and have Santa email a video to your child. You can do a free version or a premium one for $3.99, we did the premium one for middleschooler and while I know he doesn't believe in Santa anymore, his face lit up and he loved his video. Let me know if it works for y'all. http://www.portablenorthpole.com/watch/gDvCmSLsJt5AML3GcsXC6Tg
  2. There is a big box by the exit door at Publix in New Hope on East Paulding drive.
  3. Yup. But apparently any outlet, anywhere is fair game when you have an electric car. Makes sense to me. I'm sorry, but if you choose to drive an electric car, you'd better be prepared to charge it and pay for it. You're not entitled to free electricity just because you're an arrogant a$$. And then to call the news media?? What a jerk! He'd already been told to keep away.
  4. For all the people who think that this is a non issue, why not set up a charging station at your home for the convenience of all of those who have electric cars to juice up at their leisure and on your dime.
  5. YEEHAAAW!!!! I love Hobby Lobby, they have a fabric dept.
  6. GEEEEZ man, that's a bunch of horse pucky! Who does that????? I hate that for your grandson. I can only hope that karma really is a biotch!
  7. I apparently have a different take on this story. I saw it on the news and who's to say that charging his car with county electricity cost the tax payers only a nickel? Why is it OK for this guy to get free electricity to charge a car he chose to buy? Would any one of you let him drive into your driveway and plug in simply because he wanted or needed to? Would it be OK for 10 people to do this? 20? 100? No it wouldn't. If you buy an electric car, be prepared to charge it on your own 'nickel' or at a designated charging station. And I don't believe for a second that it was only 5 cents wor
  8. YUUUUUM......I had forgotten about those, my ulcer says no to them. My girls used to call them chili cheese puffs!
  9. Ditto. There have also been several sit down restaurants that haven't made it, I would have thought that the location would be a good one, but maybe the restaurants were the problem. I think Taco Bell will survive for sure!
  10. Regardless of what she did to him, she's still dead and she was riding alone. Which is precisely what the OP asked about; riding alone on the trail, not should I arm myself when I do.
  11. While it may have been years ago, after that poor woman was murdered while riding alone, I would NEVER consider riding alone.
  12. Doesn't that do your heart good?!?! I'm glad they were there to help.
  13. I hope you're kidding....I wouldn't feel bad for a second. You could very well have saved an innocent persons life by calling in. A drunk driver may never mean to hurt someone, but they do it everyday. I think you did a good thing. Added the fact that I had two family members killed in two different wrecks in one week by drunk drivers, I have NO sympathy for anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car and drives or attempts to drive drunk. Nope. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
  14. I have a bigger question........How did this principal know that this woman had posted anything on FB? Does she sit around and check out all of the parents FB pages to see what they are posting? The actions of the principal concern me much more than the lady with the permit. OR .......did this mom do something else crazy at school and she's just saying it began with a FB post? The world may never know............
  15. I L-O-V-E THEM!!!!!!!!!!! The crane totally rocks!!!!!!!!!! This topic has made me very happy!!!!!! :D
  16. That may be, but it's usually people WITH the permits who AREN'T mental cases. The nutsocrazysons are the loons and criminals who don't follow the law to obtain a permit. People shouldn't be worried about me, I've been checked out. They should be worried about the people who carry guns and use them at will to break the law. But I think you already know that! This is a S-A-D story and I haven't read if this guy shot through the door like the guy in Detroit did, but when you're in your home and you feel threatened, are you supposed to wait until the other guy gains entry and then ask him w
  17. OMG!! I'm amending my post to say, dumba$$, lawbreaking, loser!!
  18. I have a carry permit and a gun. I guess I'm off the hook for anymore volunteering at school. Woohoo!!
  19. I should have listened to you, you're right. But now we have another story to tell and to remember.
  20. I'm thinkin' today might fit the bill. We decided to go out to eat because it would be 'easier'. Yea, whatever! We knew lines would be long and we thought we were prepared, but we were WRONG. We got to Golden Corral and there were at least 150 people in line outside the door. Not that hungry. Went to Cracker Barrel, another 3-4 hour wait. No thank you. I was laughing at this point and told Hubby that we should go to QT and get tocquitos(sp). But we ended up at the Huddle House on 41 and Chastain. There was no wait, woohoo!! As I was driving into the parking lot, my daughter texted me and said
  21. Hubby is hardly ever sick, but when he is, you'd never know it. Last Saturday he said his ear hurt twice and the second time, I insisted we go to urgent care. He had an ear infection, we got his meds filled and that's the last I heard of it unless I ask him how it is. He only missed one day of work, the day he had to have surgery, when he cut half his pinky off. He's definitely not a whiner.
